Retro Cabin Lake Arrowhead | Walk to Lake + Near Village

The overall appearance and amenities were truly Retro, we loved it. The cabin was cozy, comforting and well maintained. The location was great, near to everything and especially the Lake. We enjoyed the simple, timeless feel of the property and it's architecture truly inspired by the mountain & a time gone by...

We recently stayed at this cabin for a family trip, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing despite the good location and the cozy fireplace. Those were really the only positives. All of the appliances were extremely old, and several did not function properly. The toaster was especially concerning — it malfunctioned, didn’t pop up, burned the toast, caused smoke, and created a stressful situation for us and our kids. This incident really affected the quality of our stay. The furnishings and bedding also felt outdated and not very clean. The couch pillows, blankets, and linens didn’t feel fresh or well-maintained, which made the cabin uncomfortable. The layout also lacked privacy. The upstairs bedroom had no door, so there was no noise control or personal space. On top of that, the heating system was very uneven — one room was uncomfortably hot while other areas were freezing cold, making it hard for everyone to sleep well. Overall, the cabin has potential because of its great location and nice fireplace, but it needs major improvements in cleanliness, appliances, temperature control, and room layout.

The upstairs bedroom loft was very comfortable and we loved the open feel of the windows. The deck was amazing and when we couldn’t find the light switch to turn off the outdoor light at night to look at the stars, we were able to get a real person on the phone to help us. The driveway is very steep and it was scary- definitely something to consider. Loved the location and the neighborhood.

This place is an ok place just to sleep and shower. The driveway is very very steep. Much of our time was stressing over this. Our suv scraped trying to get up the driveway. I dont think they give a realistic caution to how bad this driveway is

I absolutely loved how cozy and inviting this home was. Perfect environment to get away and reconnect with devices. Very spacious and very clean and definitely family oriented perfect for our stay. Made the best memories with our favorite people. Would definitely make another trip there! Thank you for opening your beautiful home for us to enjoy celebrating a wedding. 10/10 Five stars all the way around.
