Situated near picturesque East Beach, enjoy quick access to the sand, as well as oceanfront dining and the palm-lined bike path that stretches along the Pacific.

LIVING AREA

Relax on a leather sofa, two chairs, and a built-in banquette next to the gas fireplace in the living room. Play the antique piano or watch the flat-screen TV.

KITCHEN & DINING

The spacious kitchen features a brand-new freezer and industrial-size fridge and a four-burner gas range with griddle. Other helpful appliances include a dishwasher, blender, toaster oven, and microwave, plus a fully stocked set of cookware.

Serve meals in the dining room with a table that seats eight.

BED & BATH

This two-level home has five bedrooms that sleep 10 guests.

Stretch out on a California king bed in the master bedroom, complete with an electric fireplace. French doors lead to a private patio. The en-suite bath has a walk-in shower.

The second bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. Rest easy on a queen bed in a third bedroom that features a desk, walk-in closet, and en-suite bath with a tub/shower combination.

Sweet dreams await on a king canopy bed in the fourth bedroom, complete with a built-in window seat, walk-in closet, and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. The fifth guest room provides a king bed. These rooms both offer direct balcony access.

OUTDOOR AREA

A grand front porch boasts two seating areas with comfy lounge furniture.

The private master patio is equipped with seating for two, and an upstairs balcony has seating for four.

THE LOCATION

Walk 1 block to East Beach for days by the ocean. Enjoy numerous volleyball courts and picnic facilities, as well as oceanfront dining at East Beach Grill. Rent bicycles and cruise the 4-mile bike path that stretches from East Beach to Stearns Wharf and the Santa Barbara Harbor.

THINGS TO KNOW

This prime beachside locale is a half a block from the Amtrak rails and near the 101 freeway, and passing trains may occasionally be heard. Earplugs are provided if you are sensitive to noise while sleeping.

It’s an old house in a great location. There are a lot of bedrooms—convenient when you need that. But everything else was comically falling apart. You don’t know when you’ll try and close a door, that it won’t close. Or when you pull a doorknob or turn a shower knob, that it won’t come off. It’s honestly one thing after the next. It needs a lot of work to meet the price point it’s asking for. It feels like a very old house that nobody has lived in or loved for a long time…think your grandmothers house after she’s no longer there plus 50 years. I absolutely won’t be returning.

The flowers in the front-yard, the old porch with comfortable chairs and little tables where conversation and wine were enjoyed, the well-tuned piano and the fireplace in the parlor, the lovely old bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, the industrial kitchen with great Wolf ovens, large refrigerators for all our food for our stay, and a great washer and dryer all made for a visit that I will gladly remember. While parking can be challenging, the charm of the home, in my opinion, outweighs this issue.
