THINGS TO KNOW
Although this unit is not equipped with air conditioning, it is rarely needed with the mild summer temperatures at the beach. A ceiling fan ensures a pleasant breeze.
Your beachside locale is half a block from the Amtrak rails, and passing trains may occasionally be heard.
This studio is part of an older historical building with multiple units, so guests may hear noises from adjacent units. Several other units are available in the same property for rent to accommodate a group. Inquire if you need to sleep more than four people.
The home is located near the train tracks (all Santa Barbara beachfront properties share this feature) and the 101 freeway. If you are sensitive to noise when you sleep, we recommend using the earplugs provided in each unit. While the noise doesn't bother most guests, we like to be transparent so there are no surprises.

Great view
This accommodation was just as advertised. We knew it would be small but also knowing we weren’t going to be in it much. There is a lack of counter space in the bathroom so if hours a woman that likes to spread her makeup and hair products out, there is almost zero space for this. There aren’t any restaurants to walk to from what I could tell but a great farmers market type grocery store to picks up snacks and had a very busy food truck in the parking lot that looked good. Overall, exactly as described and for a reasonable, efficient room, it’s just perfect.
Nothing in SB is cheap, but this was the best price we could find, and we’d rather spend money on nice dinners and wine than on a room. So it was fine. It would be easy to upgrade the furniture, and the bathtub is gross. The bathroom needs more shelving for toiletries. The property could be so much nicer for very little investment. The location near (not on) the beach was the best part. Lots of little motels in the same area at East Beach.
We liked having windows to open and let the ocean breeze flow in at night. You can hear the highway traffic but it’s like white noise. Most dining options over a mile away but easy access to waterfront. Overall good stay.
The room was nice and had everything you would need (towels, shampoo, body soap, coffee for your first pot—-which we were able to make two pots since it was just the two of us). We could walk to the beach, and we even walked to the marina and State Street. I would stay again!
The studio location was wonderful for my needs. As I enjoy walking, it was close to the beach, smaller grocery store, and food trucks. With a little more time and effort, I could walk to Montecito and State St. The room had all that I needed and the bed was comfortable. Earplugs are a good idea as you can easily hear through the walls other guests conversations; the train never woke me up. Overall, I would recommend it.
