Rating
The home is very quirky and pay attention that when they say the stairs are difficult, they mean it. Nothing is at all on the same level, stairs are not standard rise. We stayed a week and found the kitchen amenities to be mediocre. Nice views of the surrounding area. The Cambria Christmas Market was the highlight of our visit!
Wonderful location, great view from patio.. would stay here again
Overall home was good, it’s an older wood style home so the upstairs cracks and squeaks. The design is cool, the porch views were amazing. Overall, decent place!
What did we love? Pretty much everything. The street where the home is located is nice. The view of the opposing hillside and distant mountain in fog is AMAZING. The downtown, restaurants, bars, stores are all close by and withing biking distance. The home is well-stocked, and once your body develops some muscle memory for navigating the stairs, it's easy to move around. For those wondering what is quirky about the home, some examples that we discovered ... (1) the "silver lady" that greets you when you arrive; (2) the wooden doll head on a spike that sits outside of the slider on the 2nd floor; (3) the location of light switches; and (4) the loft area in one of the bedrooms that you can access via a running start or using a small step ladder. All in all, my wife and I decided the owners are likely a hilarious pair who like to prank each other and friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning — hopefully sooner rather than later!
It was unique! Cozy, quiet and had all the amenities we needed for a few days. Beautiful area to visit.
Beautiful, comfy nicely decorated house with a fabulous mountain view! Great location to access Big Sur, Hearst castle, Morro Bay and lots more. Quiet safe neighborhood. There were Elephant Seals by Hearst castle and a mamma and baby Sea Otter at Morro Bay!
