High View Retreat

The house has a great view, plenty of room in the house, comfortable beds. We liked the game rooms. They had a dart board but they didnt have the darts so we had to buy our own. If the kitchen dishes and cooking essentials were not organized if they were it would be good. Also, they didnt have enough extra towels, pillows cases, blankets, and hair dryer provided. Made it a little difficult because we had to go and purchase the hair dryer for our stay. Otherwise the house is a great you just have to bring extra things.

Booked for a family wedding. We had 11 guests in the home and everyone had plenty of room. Gameroom was awesome to waste time between events. Kitchen wasn't very well stocked to cook, only a couple of pans, no pot holders, and no dish towels (didn't really affect us though). We wished there were some extra blankets as some guest wanted it cooler than others. There were a few issues with cleaning, but nothing major. Overall great stay and we would definitely book it again if needed.

This house had a great layout and view. We went on a family friends trip with our teens and the game room was a huge plus. We only had a few issues. There were a bunch of dead bugs on the windowsills that had not been cleaned off prior to our arrival. We got a house for this trip so we could save money and make meals there. The kitchen was not well supplied and a couple of dishes were not very clean. They had one 1 cup measuring cup and no measuring spoons. I found 1 small mixing bowl and 2 small cutting boards. There were only 2 small skillets so it was hard to make enough food at once to feed everyone. When getting out of the secondary shower on the first floor, the entire shower curtain and rod fell down. The kids said that the downstairs rooms were warm and did not have ceiling fans so they couldn’t cool it off. The balcony off of the living room had a great view but needs some cleaning. The fans and pulls cords were covered in dead bugs. The fire pit was fun but we were not able to get any of the logs burn. We were able to gather enough twigs from the yard to get a fire going long enough to make s’mores. There is a dart board but you will need to bring some more darts. Overall it was not bad, and with a little TLC, it could be great.

Overall, our experience at this house was good. The house itself is nice, spacious, and clean. We were very comfortable. The location of the house was a little deeper in the neighborhood than I expected, but I figured the view would compensate for it. However, the trees are not trimmed and you can only see the lake partially. Just a heads up, the driveway is steep downward, and some of the bedrooms are downstairs. No issue for us, but could be for other families.

Peaceful location with a great view of the lake. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
