Lion Square Lodge South 554a

The Condo we were privileged to stay in was No 554A. The Condo has been updated, well furnished with a spectacular view of the mountains. Everything about our stay was A+. This was our second time to stay at Lions Square, and we plan to return next summer to have a reprieve from the 100+ degree days in OKC. On a very soft and minor note: 1) the stairs to the upper loft are very steep and without air-conditioning, it was quite warm even with the windows open with two fans; and 2) the flat screen TV in the family room has issues with the sound (audio) being about 5 seconds behind the optic (video). We did not have that issue with the other two TVs. However, being at Vail offset any and all minor irritants. Every aspect from making the reservation, receiving the prearrival emails, being greeted by the staff, staying in the Condo, walking the impeccable grounds and receiving such great accommodation made our second visit to Vail just perfect. Again, we plan on returning next year and will try to stay in the same Condo. Thank you!

Amazing view of the river, excellent amenities, very friendly and responsive staff.

This is our second time staying at lion Square and we are looking forward to staying again. The ski in and out were what originally brought us here, it’s the amazingly friendly staff that make it so memorable. From the moment you are it feels like you are home. If you are looking for a a family friendly place this is it. It has everything you will need without the high price tag or pretension. They fill up quickly so book ahead. I would also recommend a Mountain View room.

Location, bedding, higher end touches.

This room has a cozy bedroom downstairs and an open king loft upstairs. Both have bathrooms. It is mountain facing with great views and a really good value considering it is just steps from the eagle bond gondola.

Location is great. Steps way from the Lionshead gondola. The condos ski valet right outside the door made ot very easy. The maid service was great. Parking was complementary right out the front door. Kitchen was adequate for breakfast. Only salt & pepper for spices. Free city bus to Vail village was just down the block but they also had a shuttle van. Beds & furniture were comfortable & having two, three quarter baths was helpful. A little expensive but you are paying for the location convenience
