Lion Square Lodge South 460 is described as a great value, offering a comfortable and well-appointed stay with thoughtful features that suited quick getaways and ski trips alike. Guests consistently praised the unit and building for being clean, comfy, nicely updated, and equipped with handy kitchen and in-room essentials. Its standout appeal is the exceptional location, with direct ski-in and ski-out access and immediate proximity to the gondola, lifts, village areas, restaurants, and convenient shuttle access. Guests also appreciated the pleasant views and the well-kept grounds. Repeatedly enjoyed features included the pool, hot tubs, ski valet, and the ease of renting and storing ski gear right at the property. The lodge was also noted for friendly staff, excellent service, and a welcoming apres-ski atmosphere.

Enjoy views of the village from this hotel-style condo. Recently remodeled with all the conveniences and comforts of home, guests can enjoy an electric fireplace for a warm ambience, a larger shower for refreshing after the day's adventures, an expanded kitchen with a larger fridge and dishwasher that make mealtimes a breeze, a large TV for casual entertainment, and adjustable lighting from new wall switches all through the home. Plus, there is new wood throughout, adding a fresh element to the space, along with a cozy fireplace. You'll have access to shared amenities such as the heated outdoor pool and the three hot tubs. There's plenty to enjoy in this comfortable space!

Of course, the biggest draw is the slopeside location for prime ski-in/ski-out access. The building features a front desk and concierge in the main lobby, with the popular El Sabor restaurant, great for takeout or grab-and-go meals, just off the main lobby as well. On the first floor, you'll find the business center, pool, and hot tubs! Should you need ski gear, Charter Sports is right on the second floor, catering to skiers of all levels. Also on the second floor are coin-operated washers and dryers. Off the property, you'll find Vail General store and Lionshead Liquors just around the corner. All nearby Lionshead restaurants and shops are a short distance away when you're not spending your time on the slopes. Adventure Ridge at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola operates day and night, in both winter and summer, for unbeatable family fun!

As this is just a "studio" with a "kitchennette", space is very limited. I do say, property owner has made every improvement possible to make the space as comfortable as possible. The full refrigerator, sink and microwave allowed us to easily make minor food preparations. Chairs and bench allow us to sit and not always be laying on the bed! If you want easy ski-in and ski-out, Lion Square Lodge offers it.

Best location in Vail. Lion Square Lodge is a true ski-in ski-out. The valet is great when you are finished skiing. Room was comfortable. The Lodge shuttle service was excellent for trips to Vail at night. 2 hot tubs were perfect after skiing all day!

The proximity to Eagle Bahn gondola and the ski valet make this condo the best deal in Vail. The condo is nicely updated and the service provided at Lion Square is the best. Second time staying here and will definitely be coming back.
