Lion Square Lodge South 461

This room has everything we want in a hotel/condo. We can make our own and toast in the room, while still having the bed made, the bathroom cleaned and fresh towels every day. A comfortable couch to hang out, a nice table for meals and a comfy bed. And a very short walk the gondola! And an easy walk into Lionshead Village for apres ski and dining. And a shuttle to Vail Village whenever we wanted! We loved this condo!

This property has its own parking lot, restaurant, shuttle service, ski valet and is right outside of the gondola. I will definitely return

The staff was amazing and the property was beautiful.

We loved the location of the property, just steps from the gondola and an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. However, as other guests have said, the water in the unit is just not hot. It was just warm enough to take a quick, not-quite-uncomfortable shower. I advised the front desk of this upon checkout, but because of prior complaints, I have to wonder if it will be adjusted. Otherwise, the staff was great, especially Nicholas who went out of his way to make sure we had fun on the slopes and found a good restaurant for dinner. We’ve already booked the same unit for next year. We loved the amenities in the room, the pool and hot tub, so we have our fingers crossed for hot water!

If you want close to the slopes it doesn't get any better than this. It was such a pleasure to walk just outside, pick up our skis from the free valet service, and have only a 30 yard walk to the gondola. And then at the end of the day being able to ski back literally all the way to the valet area just outside, the location is 10 out of 10. The accommodations as well were excellent. I'd call this one a "deluxe hotel" type unit, with one room, fridge, microwave, couch, and small dining table. As it was just 2 of us and we were there to ski all day and eat lunch/dinners out it was perfect for us. The building does have larger, multi-bedroom units as well. The hot tubs and pool area were very nice, and the staff/service were very friendly and helpful. We did not try the in-house restaurant, but the village area is right by the gondola so there are lots of options nearby. Parking was easy, and we were able to park underground to avoid the snowfall. All in all an outstanding location and we would definitely stay here again!

Someone hit and damaged our car in the parking lot. We reported this to the front desk, but there was nothing they could do. Additonally, after each day of skiing, we came back around 4-5pm to take showers. Several days in a row there was no HOT water. We basically took cold showers the entire trip. For the amount of money we paid, this was unacceptable service.
