This was our second stay at West Vail Mountain Escape! You really can't beat the location. The bus stop is right across the street making it easy to leave the car behind! The newly renovated downstairs bathroom was a nice update. It's a great space to share with families or friends. We stayed with another couple with young kids and the layout of the condo made our space feel very private from our friends and their kids. We look forward to our next stay!
Nice location - relatively close to Vail, very close to a bus stop. Nicely remodeled first floor bathroom. Helpful to have one car 'semi-covered' with the carport. Cute, spacious bunk room in the top floor. Quiet and private.
Nice quiet location in W Vail with easy access to Vail Village & I-70
Good location, comfortable beds and couch
The location is perfect, only 7 minutes driving to Lions Head...
Location is very good - close to West Vail Red and Green lines with frequent stops in the winter. ~20 min ride to Vail Village, shorter to Lionshead and Cascade Village. The carport was useful during snow storms. The gas grill worked well for steaks and burgers. The upstairs bunk room was great for kids. Overall, there was plenty of space for our family of 5. On the negative side, the downstairs beds are past their useful life and should be replaced. As mentioned in other reviews, the downstairs baseboards do not heat, requiring space heaters which are included (thankfully). The fireplace was shutdown, despite being listed as an amenity and the damper was stuck open. The coils on the stovetop were sometimes finicky and didn't always work without moving them around. Although the nightly rate for this property is on the lower side for the area, with the listed issues, my family wouldn't stay here again. If the owner could fix the issues, it would be something we would consider again.
