I loved the tranquility. The natural rushing stream sound outside the windows, what appears to be new family room furniture and flat screen tv. It was just perfect! I can’t wait to come back.
This was our third time at this Townsend Place rental. Have enjoyed our stay every time. The place is so conveniently located, a short, two-block walk to the village lifts, or an easy ski down to the Elkhorn lift. The unit has a real home-like feel, not at all like a cold hotel. Everything looks and feels clean and works great. Both the new queen-size bed and sofa bed are very comfortable and the showers are always hot and have great pressure any time of day. We nearly always end our ski days in the large outside jacuzzi, a few steps outside the building. There are two TVs in the unit, both of which provide HD cable service, or one can use the Smart TV built in function and log into your streaming service, just by configuring the TV to the WIFI. Of course, one must be sure to log out at the end of your stay, which we actually forgot after one summer visit. We've also enjoyed many at-home dinners when staying here and can take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen and the high-end gas barbecue grill on the deck. And if you're in need of a waffle iron, espresso machine or food processor, you'll find them all and more at your fingertips. Cannot say enough good things about what this condo has to offer. Highly recommend this warm, cozy rental, to enjoy the Colorado high country for skiing and summer fun. Chuck L
Our family has been skiing in Beaver Creek for years and we stay at this Townsend Place condo. The condo’s location at the back of the building along the creek makes the unit very quiet. We enjoy the peaceful view of the mountains and from the bedroom, you can even get a peak of the skiers coming down the slope near the Centennial lift. We have also stayed here in the summer and you can’t beat sleeping with the open windows and the sound of the rushing Beaver Creek. The area is spectacular in the summer with lots to do in the area. The hike up to Beaver Lake is awesome and you can also ride horses up to the lake. We have done both. There is a small kids park a stone's throw from the back of the condo which my daughter has enjoyed since she was a toddler. The village itself is a short walk up the hill. In the winter, the courtesy shuttle is a convenient ride up the hill to Centennial Station. The shuttle (download the Village Connect app) is an option if you don't want to walk up to the lifts with your ski or snowboard gear or if the Elkhorn Lift isn't running (a ski-down lift not far from the back of the building). Free parking is included and there isn't a resort fee to enjoy the large hot tub après-ski. We have rented a car from Denver and we have taken the airport shuttle. With grocery delivery from City Market in Avon and the free shuttles and busses around Avon and Beaver Creek, the area is easy to navigate without a car. We enjoy making breakfast and dinners at the condo and packing a sandwich lunch to take up the mountain. The kitchen has everything you need and the unit has a convenient in-condo stackable washer and dryer. I highly recommend this homey rental.
La cercanía a la montaña
The property is walking distance to village. However it is dated. Bed and sofa bed was lumpy. Kitchen floor was not really clean. Elevator was NOT working so it was a pain to take the stairs.
The location is great. Other than that, I would never stay at this condo again. Too many deficiencies to list all of them. A few are:
1 front door lock didn’t work
2 elevator didn’t work
3 no WiFi most of the trip
4 no tv most of the trip (needs WiFi)
5 gross utensils, cups, plates
6 shower didn’t work
