When the summer sun is shining, you can take strolls through the Yampa River Botanic Park (two miles northwest) or ride your bike along the famous Yampa River Core Trail, a 7.5-mile, paved path that runs through the heart of Steamboat Springs. Downtown, which is home to the Old Town Hot Springs and fantastic restaurants, is three miles north.
