Well equipped kitchen and good shuttle buses.
The condo was just right for the 6 people we had. The location is the best for transportation to the hill. We had a bit of an issue getting the TV to work, but they took care of it the next day.
Easy access to everything via the free property shuttle, ski storage was perfect. Comfortable unit for 7 people.
We had 4 adults and 3 - 20 yr olds. This condo was spacious and was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. We cooked 3 nights. The pool and hot tubs are located behind the building with towels provided in the bathroom out there. There are robes for each person to wear to the hot tub in the condo!!!! No issues with the condo at all. The checkin process was a bit of a hassle. We arrived in Steamboat around 1pm. I was told prior to arrival we could leave our luggage in the lobby. We had to go to The Lodge to check in hoping we could get in our condo early, no such luck. Then we had to store our luggage at another building which thankfully was right across from Emerald Lodge. We went to the village and ate, rented equipment, etc until 4pm. We then had to go back to The Lodge to pick up keys, back to the other lodge across from Emerald Lodge and then tote our luggage across to our condo at Emerald Lodge. I think they could make the process a little easier for those that arrive early via shuttle with no car to store luggage. There was not a lot of additional info given as far as shuttles around town. We figured it out but we had to just figure it out. Obviously, these issues are not the condo owner, we loved the condo. Communication was lacking and I called several times prior to arrival asking questions which they never explained luggage storage would not be in our building. I would stay in this condo again but would plan differently. Also, do yourself a favor if you don’t rent a vehicle… place your grocery order online which ended up going through Instacart for delivery. Going to the store in the shuttle and loading your groceries on the shuttle is a pain.
Location and decor
We had two families traveling together and we really enjoyed this condo. Having the ski locker was awesome, the shuttles were amazing, and the location was perfect. We were able to easily obtain groceries and go downtown for dinner/shopping -- didn't need a car during our stay. The condo was clean and comfortable.
