The location is perfect.
Great location and lovely balcony. The breakfast was also great!
The room and facility is clean. The bed was comfortable and the mattress seemed relatively new as was the carpet. All was clean, worked, but not inviting. The Aspen Mountain Lodge is an old, dated building. The room furniture is damaged, the bathroom finish is 1970 at best, and the toilet is extremely low. The window and sliding door did NOT have screens to open for cool fresh evening summertime mountain air. The unit 403 is on the 4th floor and the building does NOT have an elevator. The 4th floor and room was very, very HOT. The AC window unit was noisy and completely inadequate. The building in general was also hot in all main areas and corridors. I have stayed in much nicer motels. If you are looking for an enjoyable, pleasant stay in Aspen and based on all of these items, I would not recommend the Aspen Mountain Lodge. I would find other accommodations.
Very run down and in need of refreshing.
