Chair Mountain Cabin at Filoha Meadows

This place is mastic. Right off the road but it feels so far removed. A spectacular property that allows you to enjoy the outdoors up close and personal. Mike the was cherry bringing his warmth and knowledge of the areas and giving us recommendations in the surrounding area. Great launch pad to explore all the areas around. Looking forward to our next stay already.

Almost don’t want people to know about it so it doesn’t get booked all the time 😅 we were greeted at arrival by the property manager to make sure everything was perfect and after that we felt pretty private and alone even thought the main house is still visible from a distance. There are three other cabins at the property and if they are booked you will see neighbors and share the hot tubs but while we were there, everyone is on their own schedule we saw the other campers twice going into their cabin. Everyone was able to fish and use the tubs at their own schedules we never ran into each other. Inside the cabin is really nice and neat and you have everything you could need or forgot like basic kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies and blocks for kids, some board games. You have very nice views from inside the cabin. Outside you have the whole private river to yourself for fishing and one of my favorite parts was small trails below the cabins for a short walk that feels like you’re going through the forest. It’s not very big but it’s like a small maze with benches here and there some overlooking the river and a clearing with a swing. It’s a nice touch from the owners that I loved. We will definitely book again and hope to rent out all the cabins at once for a big family vacation! Thank you!

The cabin is cozy and nice. Cell service and wifi worked well. However the reason to stay here is for the surroundings! It’s stunning scenery every direction. Wake up to the sunrise streaming into the cabin while you sip coffee listening to and looking at the Crystal River. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Fun things to do and see are all close by. Highly recommend!

This cabin was a gem! My adult kids and I took a 3 day trip to explore the Glenwood Springs/Aspen area. I booked just a few weeks out and honestly didn't have super high expectations as the cabin itself looked a bit dated in the photos (i.e. no remodeled granite counters, stainless steel appliances, etc.). However, I was pleasantly surprised! The cabin was immaculately clean and while the bathrooms and kitchen are basic, they were in great condition. The cabin had all the amenities and supplies we needed included many fans, extra house keys, beach towels, spices, games, extra linens, etc. It was also more spacious than it looked in photos and the beds were comfortable. The wi-fi worked great and the property manager Mike introduced himself right away and showed me how to work everything and how to contact him if we needed anything. Everything about the cabin was great but the best part was the property! IT IS SPECTACULAR!!! Having hot springs onsite was so nice and the one by the river was just so relaxing. (There were other guests onsite but we never had anyone in the springs the same time as us.) There are views everywhere and the trail around the property had multiple places to sit and soak in the views. One piece of advice - we went in summer and the bugs/mosquitos at night are no joke - bring bug spray and avoid the meadow at dusk. Overall a fabulous place and we will be back!

Filoha Meadows is a great place to get away. Clean, comfortable accomodations. Manager Mike is very friendly and keeps the place running seamlessly. Do note that Chair Mountain Cabin also has two twin mattresses in the loft, not shown in the pictures. Kitchen is well stocked, grill works great and a spare propane tank is provided. Wifi works great!
