Avon Mountain Beauty

We have traveled the world and booked many homes through VRBO. We spend 5-6 weeks each year beating the heat in Dallas and escaping to Vail Valley. We moved from our home in Vail into this lovely home for the Labor Day weekend as our group was nearly doubling. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. This home had every imaginable amenity. To begin the floorplan was perfect for large gatherings. The living room had very comfortable couches, club chairs and throw blankets. The long dining room table fit 10 comfortably. The outdoor patio overlooking the river was beautiful. The kitchen was divine. It had everything imaginable. We cooked all nights for 10 and there was not a bowl, baking dish or gadget it did not have. It was a cooks dream. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bedding and towels clean and abundant. We had a 16-month-old with us and the toys were a fun extra. The location of this property allows you to enjoy the lush river behind and a casual walk takes you to trails and a nearby playground for the littles. You can tell this home has been loved and maintained by a wonderful family. We would love to return. Five Stars for sure.

Loved the lay out and amenities. Great location on the river. Hot tub was not working but owner made concessions for the inconvenience. Would stay again!

This house worked great for us as a home base for a family trip. The kitchen was very well stocked, house was very clean with plenty of towels, comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets and pillows for the sofa bed. They were quick to respond when the outside trash bin was full from previous renters, too. We enjoyed the back porch listening to the river running in the back yard. Only areas for improvement would be to have the housekeepers sweep off the back porch before arrival and have homeowners repair the hot tub.

The house was large enough for all our guests, the view out the back with the river was amazing! The de k was surreal! The family room was wonderful, and the rooms and entertainment are downstairs was terrific…. We would absolutely book this home again!

Loved the bedroom layout, house was clean, loved the toy area for my grandchildren. I would recommend removing the glass table in the living room, its a beautiful piece of art. Beautiful river views even in the winter, the added bonus of using the garage for our vehicles was also great.
