Beautiful home! Definitely will be coming back!
Well, there was a lot to like about this stay but also several issues. On the plus side, the condo itself was cozy and nice. The beds were comfortable although the pillows leave a lot to be desired. We were five guests and the rooms were small, so it was pretty tight. The pullout sofa was very uncomfortable so we ended up getting and inflatable bed for the kids, which worked well. The location was great. Close to the mountain and close to the grocery store. The pool and hot tub were right outside the bedroom. Also, having the washer dryer in the unit and right next to the bedrooms was a great convenience. Having an attached garage was also great. So what were the problems? There was no housekeeping at all, which was unexpected. It is always nice when you go away to have a cleaner take the trash out and make the beds and straighten up. Not the case here, even when requested. Not a huge deal but would be nice to know that before booking. Especially since management gives you an envelope for tipping housekeeping. Another issue was the walk to the gondola. While it was a very short walk, it was quite treacherous. The sidewalks are note salted or sanded so they are a sheet of ice. The streets are not much better. Walking across Apres Ski Way in icy conditions always felt dangerous. Cars could not stop well in the ice, and it was very easy to slip. They should do a MUCH better job of salting the streets in Steamboat and the resort should do more to make the walk a little less treacherous. Lastly, management. No one who worked there had any idea what was going on. Most people at the front desk barely spoke English, and were pretty useless. On several occasions we called the front desk with questions and they were not at all helpful. Maintenance was no better. At one point the garage became deprogrammed. When maintenance came to fix it, they not only were unsuccessful, they made it worse and left a mess. At least they were nice though :) Basically, the condo itself was perfect for us. Poor management was the problem.
Very well-stocked kitchen, great little fireplace and as neat as a pin!
Such a great place to stay! Loved having the garage to store our skis and boots without bringing them inside. Nice to have bedrooms on bottom floor so teenagers could enjoy the den and kitchen when parents were ready for bed, but best yet was how we could walk out and slightly uphill to get on the path to get right on the slopes at the base. Shuttle also comes right to our door if we wanted a lift. Will definitely stay here again
