Overview

Find yourself at this three-level, corner townhome featuring a huge, top-floor primary suite with a private balcony and fantastic mountain views. The main level has vaulted ceilings and windows that allow in plenty of natural light. Prepare amazing meals in the well-equipped, gourmet kitchen, or toss something on the gas grill out on your furnished deck, then dine together at the table. After exciting days on the mountain, cozy up on the sofa by the gas fireplace and watch your favorite show or movie on the TV. On-site amenities include a shared, heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, and a tennis court. During the winter months, there is a looping daytime shuttle available to guests to make it easy to get around Steamboat.

At Cross Timbers, you can indulge yourself in all the splendors the base area has to offer. There are countless shops and restaurants in the base area to explore or just sit back and relax in an armchair and listen to the sounds of Burgess Creek in the summer. My family and I had a wonderful time in Crosstimbers! The snow and skiing was great. The house was beautiful and clean. There were 4 large bedrooms that would have fit more people comfortably. Will definitely be staying here at our next visit to Steamboat!

This unit is directly across from the pool and hot tub. The VIP shuttle which runs to the gondola transit center picks up just outside this unit's front door about every 10 minutes which makes things very convenient. This shuttle also took us everywhere we wanted to go. The unit was roomy and well stocked for our group of 5 adults and 3 kids. We got off to a bad start the first night. Upon arrival the heat did not work and we did not have hot water. The hot water was corrected before the next morning and the heat was corrected by noon the next day. 60 degrees with 2 small children was not acceptable. We were told that the heat is turned off if no one is in the unit and later were told that when it is turned back on that it takes a while to warm up when the weather is in single digits. Drew, the unit manager, made things right and was very responsive.

Shuttle picks you up right outside your door. Make sure to check hours though since it's seasonal and may not service the community as advertised. The hot tub, pool, and dry sauna are right outside the door and very well maintained. The kitchen is not great for those that love to cook. Hot water was a challenge. We had 4 adults and two kiddos. We could not all shower within a few hours of each other. The jetted tub in the master bedroom won't fill with hot water enough to use them. Beds are soft, but comfy enough. The fire place in the living room is lovely. The deck is great, but does not have a grill as advertised. Steamboat has a car height limit of 7' in the majority of parking areas so you may need to remove car top carriers when you get there. I had one on our 4 runner and couldn't park anywhere. We could easily store in the garage though so no biggie, just be aware. The base is a nice .5 mile walk with sidewalks.
