Overview

Trailhead Lodge 2126 is a family-friendly, three-bedroom condo with all the comforts of a home away from home. This retreat features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The living area offers guests comfortable furnishings, a convenient gas fireplace, and access to the private balcony overlooking the valley. This mountain abode offers guests four flatscreen TVs, a DVD player, and free WiFi for their enjoyment and entertainment. There is also a private washer and dryer (detergent provided) for your convenience. The main bedroom features a king bed and an attached bathroom with double vanity and a walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a king bed and an additional attached bathroom. There are two twin beds in the third bedroom and another full bathroom. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.

We enjoyed the location and the amenities of the Trailhead Lodge. The gondola right outside the building is a very convenient. The underground parking, the ski and boot storage are added perks! The lobby, gym, pool and hot tub area, and locker rooms were clean and well maintained.

Trailhead Lodge is in a great location, and we stayed in another unit last year and it was great but in that unit everything worked. I called and put work order for the TV's and window, but they did not get fixed. We asked for additional pillows and the front desk only had 2 additional pillows, really! The hot tub and pool are very clean and well maintained. The parking permit for only 1 car is ridiculous for a 3 bedroom unit especially during low season. We had 2 SUV's for 3 couples and the lower level of the parking garage was 80% empty during our whole stay. The front desk clerk follows the policy to the tee with no ability to use common sense to issue parking permits. Last year we had 2 cars during the same time, and the front desk clerk gave us 2 permits based on occupancy. We probably won't come back to Trailhead Lodge.

We’ve stayed at this property multiple times, but it has been awhile since our last stay. It’s changed management companies and could use some TLC. We had windows that wouldn’t open, a patio door that wouldn’t lock (and we were on ground level), dirty worn out carpet in the bedrooms, and linens that felt 20 years old. We also used a bbq in the common area and out of the 2 bbq’s 1 was not working. We wouldn’t stay here again as there are nicer places to stay in Steamboat.
