On the Rapids - AB Units

Beautiful location and great accomodations!

The location of this unit is ideal: right on the river, and just a block away from downtown Grand Lake. Also walking distance to the lake, and to trailheads into the park. Renting the entire suite is the only way to receive all amenities to make your stay most comfortable. The living area (B-side) is pleasant and faces the river. Its full-size kitchenette has a full-size stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, stocked with dishes, pans and utensils, but no cooking supplies (i.e. no oils, spices, coffee, etc.). The only beds on the B side are a double Murphy bed that folds out of a closet, and the pull-out sofa bed. The A side is basically the bedroom. It is a single room with a comfortable queen-sized bed, and a daybed that folds out into two twins. In that room there's a mini-fridge, small microwave, toaster and coffee pot stacked on top. There is a stacked washer-dryer in the bathroom/hallway to the B side. Both bathrooms are small. Overall it's a nice, basic accommodation. Clean, if a bit older and in need of some TLC. The location makes it worthwhile for a short stay.

Location! Was the reason we booked. Didn't disappoint. Staying along a rushing stream can't be beat. So why mess up an easy win with a hard to manage security system?

I’ve been going to this condo for years. My family always chooses it because it gives us the option of inviting other families and having our own space. It has plenty of room for us to enjoy our time together, but also gives us the opportunity to walk to the lake, downtown, and the trails at North Inlet and East Inlet. Parking can be an issue in Grand Lake so proximity is golden. The rapids from Tonahutu Creek make this condo really unique. The condo sits on the creek. You can slightly hear it with the door closed. In the summer we usually open the window and let it put us to sleep along with the mountain air. In the winter, we drive up from Denver , ski Winter Park/Mary Jane, then hit the Sulphur Hot Springs then go to Grand Pizza in Grand Lake for dinner. Sundays we ski Steamboat, stay Sunday night in the Rapids condo, then drive home early Monday morning to miss traffic. It turns a weekend into a full vacation. In the summer we hike from the condo to Adam’s Fall, walk our paddle boards to the lake, and play board games by the rapids from Tonahutu Creek.
