Great location. Clean. Good view from balcony. All the important things were good (hot water, clean, well equiped). Carpet and mattress seem a little old. I would stay there again.
We booked this condo through VRBO and received access codes prior to arrival, which worked smoothly. The unit appeared clean at first; however, there was a strong urine odor that persisted throughout our stay. We repeatedly aired out the condo and tried using the provided cleaning supplies and sprays, but the smell continued to return. The main highlight of this property is its convenient proximity to the ski lifts, which made getting to and from the slopes very easy. Unfortunately, the condo itself is in need of updates and maintenance. The covered balcony area showed signs of rotting wood, which raised safety concerns. The headboards were not secured to the beds and would bump against the wall just by sitting, and the sofa had a cigarette burn and worn cushions. The bunk beds were a great feature and our sons enjoyed them. We also appreciated having games like cards and dominoes available. The WiFi password provided never worked despite troubleshooting suggestions, and we did not receive follow-up assistance when we were asked to reset the router. We also were not given access information for the spa or laundry at check-in. The laundry code was eventually provided (with paid per use machines), but we were initially told there was no spa access. After referencing the hot tub shown in the listing, we were informed that we needed to check in at Purgatory Resort for a parking pass and amenity codes—something that was never communicated beforehand. By that point, we had already been there three days and had even received a parking warning due to not knowing we needed to check in. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time in the snow and the location near the slopes. However, the condo itself did not meet our expectations. While we were prepared for the 3 flights of stairs and lack of elevator, it took a toll with high elevation after skiing all day, the condition of the unit and lack of clear communication regarding amenities were disappointing. It served as a place to sleep, but we would not choose to stay here again. Although responses were generally prompt, we had to reach out multiple times for basic information and access we believed was included.
The condo offered a warm, inviting atmosphere and was just a short walk to the ski lifts, making it perfect for an active getaway.
Two experiences with them that were not top notch. First rental experience they would not take into consideration a tragic loss of a child in our family and allow us to cancel or even reschedule later in the year within reason. It was simply, "that is why you get trip insurance!" Second go, room was not cleaned, dingy, you can tell cleaners do the bare minimum. Seems little to no accountability for who they contract. The mountain we stayed at had little to no traffic so its not like they were overwhelmed with rooms/house to clean. All in all I will avoid their rentals if all possible and make that recommendation to any who asks.
Close to the lift, space enough for a family of 5. Highly recommended!
