Pine Ridge 08F

Pros - Unit felt spacious. Felt large give the vaulted ceilings give the top floor - Bed set up was good. Queen beds in both main bedrooms - Wifi worked pretty well. Only a couple of time were it quit - Was stocked well. Enough dishes, glasses, silverware, towels etc. - Washer/dryer in unit. - Hot tub was ok. Not the best as you have to walk through the parking lot to get there. Also could have been warmer. Giving this a pro but marginal - Check in and out were extremely easy. Arrived after hours and keys were waiting for us in the office. Cons: - Fifth floor with no elevator and tight stairs. Getting luggage, skis, etc up to the condo was difficult. Especially for old guest - Location was not ski in/ski out or even easy walking distance. While the closets lift may be a 7 min walk it is up hill on a sidewalk of a main street. Trying this is ski boots carrying ski is a challenge and not something we were willing to do. There is a shuttle bus stop in front of the building but you have to wait for it. Not what we expected when we were told walking distance. - Unit is old and not updated. Could use new furniture rug, etc. This may or may not be important to you - Unit is very dark. Needs more/brighter lighting - No stand up shower. Both bathrooms had tub shower. Also, very little light behind the shower curtain when you are taking a shower Conclusion: I would not stay here again. Not horrible by any means but in my opinion the cons outweigh the pros especially the "walking distance" to the lift and the 5th floor climb to the unit. Also, there aren't any shops or restaurants in walking distance.

Ski to back door on 4 O'clock trail - 5 stars. 48 steps to unit 8F - 3 stars. Kitchen pots and pans - 2 stars. Beds - 3 stars. TV - 3 stars. On site support - 10 stars. Convince and location (bus to peak 9 stops in front of unit) - 5 stars. Price - 4.5 stars. If your plan is to ski a lot, and you don't need anything fancy, then this will certainly do nicely. Suggest you bring or buy a non stick frying pan. I'd stay here again.

Pros: great location! Walk out to the shuttles right out front, ski right in at the end of the day! Clean place and hot tub. Cons: two beds had only sheets (no blankets or comforter) and when we asked for blankets, it took me asking 3 times and a full week before we were brought blankets. The communication between their corporate and local staff needs much improvement. When booking I direct messaged asking about pots and pans for cooking, their reply was “if it’s not listed it’s not provided” which pots and pans were not listed. Upon arrival there were pots and pans in the kitchen. The corporate office did not even check in with the local staff to ask my question. This listing needs updated as to what is included.

We had stayed at another Pine Ridge unit (a top "F" unit with two bedrooms and a loft) last year and loved it. It was a little later in the season so the prices might have been lower. We found 8F as an option this year and selected it. The unit was clean but the furnishings were very dated (not really an issue) and worn down (sofa cushions slip out from under you, springs not holding them up anymore correctly and bar stools are about to fall apart/break). Additionally, the kitchen was missing quite a number of items -- not enough silverware and an inoperable coffee machine. The front desk was great and sent over those items as well as a new sponge and dishwashing liquid which had been missing. Overall, the set up was good and as expected but the unit itself is a little worn down. We love the location and the staff and the convenience to town and the lifts. Nothing wrong with the unit and probably fine for a group...but not ideal for a family who wants to spend evenings on the sofa watching TV and cooking in the kitchen. A few refreshes and the unit will be great and on par with the others we rented/saw online.

Location is amazing! Love the hot tub, walk to slopes and town. Place could be upgraded a bit but location makes up for some of that.
