Wonderful staff, nice breakfast & happy hour and convenient location.
The whole place
I like the on site staff, especially exemplary housekeeping, comfort (incl very comfortable beds) and spacious rooms, spa tub, and more than adequate breakfast. Conveniently located to city and ski bus stops, all within a couple blocks. On the negative side, my stays at this property, partly due to contracting out reservations, have experienced an increase of over 50% in room rates for the same annual period, in just three years, PLUS addition of almost a 10% daily booking fee (so the guest is paying for handling of the reservation for the owners) and loss of their prior guest discount. A substantial part of that is due to Aspen's unique economy and changes in availability of more moderately priced lodging in town, but it can't all be due to circumstances beyond control. I'd be totally happy with the place if it hadn't become so totally unreasonably priced, including almost hidden fees that I believe are deceptive, in the very small print at end of booking; becoming unaffordable
Very friendly, helpful staff. Close to downtown, airport and transportation
9 min walk and cheaper then the fancy hotels. Stay here. Save money. Go on more trips. That simple.
Nice little stop over to roam Aspen. Within walking distance (or free uber-type rides) of shopping, restaurants etc. with heated pool great for after skiing and cozy lounge area by fire. Bed was comfy but brace yourself using the restroom as it is not insulated from the cold ha. Desk help great. Parking not.
