Overview

This brand-new rustic, cozy home is approximately 4,500 square feet on three and a half acres, surrounded by San Juan National Forest and the Weminuche Wilderness Area with plenty of parking for your entire group. Giant views of the San Juan Mountains off the back deck and through the picture windows from the large living room/kitchen area. You'll have a game room downstairs and a gas fireplace in the living area. The game room, with a full standing bar, has a regulation-size pool table and a downstairs back deck area, which has a secluded six-person hot tub with awesome views of the stars and the national forest and wildlife. The dining room and kitchen area can seat up to 16 people, and the firepit will help to bring the perfect atmosphere. You'll even have a gas grill on the main deck. Watch movies on a large TV in a theater that seats six in leather reclining chairs. There is also a gaming system in this room. A Pack 'n Play and a high chair will accommodate younger guests. This secluded property is gated for your security and is close to Pagosa Springs, Durango, and Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Well, the kitchen area is small for a large group. The layout allowed for separate time for kids and adults. It was a very comfortable space for our four families.

We booked this cabin for our family and a few friends and it was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms and space to spread out! In case the layout is helpful to others: upstairs is a King and a Queen bed with a Jack & Jill bathroom between them, and also a Full bed with its own bath. There is also an extra living room area! Main level has the master suite with a King. Downstairs game room has a Queen and a Full bedroom with a full bathroom accessible from the game room. I am rating this 4 stars rather than 5 as there are a few improvements. The hot water heater is tankless, but we had to reset it a few times during our stay, which made for a cold shower surprise. The instructions on reset are readily available and we had no issues accessing or resetting it, but it wasn't something I wanted mid-shower. A few pieces of furniture and billiard cues could use some upkeep downstairs. Other than that though, we had a great stay and appreciated the various amenities like the gameroom, hot tub, and comfortable beds! Plenty of space for everyone and lots of towels, tupperware, and supplies.
