Overview
Spectacular seasonal views and a convenient location close to recreational activities, cultural centers, and entertainment makes this Quechee condo the ideal year-round getaway. The nearby Quechee Club boasts two championship golf courses (Highland and Lakeland) in the summer which, in the winter, provide groomed Nordic skiing trails. In addition, Quechee offers tennis, paddle tennis, skiing, and an array of options for swimmers, hikers, and fishermen. The Club House has multiple dining options as well as a state-of-the-art fitness facility with indoor and outdoor pools. You can arrange Quechee Club rental packages with the club directly for the use of these amenities during your stay. Quechee is centrally located between Woodstock, Vermont, and Hanover, New Hampshire (home of Dartmouth College). Hanover and Woodstock combine the quaintness of beautiful New England villages with the cultural sophistication of a college town. Killington and Pico offer world-class skiing, mountain biking, golf, and other year-round activities within easy reach of the condo.
You'll find the condo itself well-appointed for home comfort. Beautiful blue tiling accents the kitchen, while a full suite of stainless steel appliances come equipped to handle home cooking. A smart TV, books, and board games are ready to welcome casual downtime between outings.

Rating
We travel often and consistently rent VRBO or AirBnbs for our stays. This place was cozy, but a little too small and definitely not what we expected based on the photos. Both bedrooms are UPSTAIRS and the stairway itself is incredibly narrow and steep. (Definitely use caution with luggage and if wearing socks.) One bathroom with shower is downstairs, which for two couples is awkward to shower downstairs and then come upstairs to get ready. The shower downstairs is tiny, literally smaller than the last one we had on a cruise ship. Two of our four guests sneezed a lot, as this unit was dusty and stuffy. The beds are not comfortable. Only one of the two bedrooms has a tv. The back bedroom has NO CURTAINS. (Granted, there are only trees behind you, but we didn’t know this when we arrived at night and couldn’t see what was outside.) We did enjoy the kettle for making tea in the evening, and there was a good selection of games to play. The heater in the living room definitely helped to keep the place warm.
Quaint cottage like condo.
Location near Simon Pearce, Quechee Gorge State Park. Comfortable, quiet location.
I was so upset upon arriving at the condo Friday night. I am a single woman traveling alone for work and felt unsafe in this location. There was no deadbolt on the door. The only option for locking up was the keypad and I don't trust that to be secure because anyone may have a code to unlock to door. I arrived and the condo was stiflingly hot, and I could not locate the AC unit. The light switch only operated the lights in the kitchen and there was no apparent way to turn on the lights in the living room. I found the stairs to the bedrooms to be nearly inaccessible. It was impossible for me to get my luggage into the bedroom. The sleeping quarters were not up to my standards, and I could not bring myself to sleep in this location. I was so unhappy that I ended up booking a different room for the night and left after only a few hours in the condo.
The wifi signal is strong. The neighborhood was quiet, and the setting was beautiful. Below is a list of things you may want to be aware of before renting. The property was listed as having amenities, as they come up in the property search, including a pool, balcony and AC. The pool is not included in the rental fee. The pool and gym amenities are at the Quechee club, which is not an easy walkable distance from the condo. There are additional fees to use the pool and all club facilities. This is NOT CLEARLY stated in the rental description. The rental unit was listed as having AC. The window AC unit was not installed upon arrival. We actually installed it, as a local rep was not able to arrive until the next day, and the condo was extremely warm and stuffy. The unit technically does have a balcony. The rental information neglected to share that it is covered in mold, the door actually has mold spores growing on it. The screen door is FILTHY and the deck is covered in slippery moss and other matter. The downstairs kitchen sink plumbing is leaking. A service rep came out to look at it and refused to do anything, as the current plumbing looked incorrectly installed. He said it looked like a quick fix and would require a licensed plumber to come in and fix. We placed a bucket under the sink to catch the water, thinking the homeowner might appreciate it. Due to this leak in the plumbing, the dishwasher was unusable. The upstairs bath did not drain properly. Abbey came by and dumped some draino down the drain to fix the problem. It worked, and she even left the empty draino container in the garbage can. The upstairs shower curtains were disgusting. We had to go to Target within an hour of arriving to purchase TWO clean, new curtain liners. You're welcome. We discarded the others, filled with mold and soap scum. Again, you're welcome. I also had to clean the tub, so my child could use the bath. The downstairs shower was leaking water, spraying it to the ceiling. The repair man mentioned earlier did come and replace the shower head. Unfortunately, the valve to adjust the hot and cold water is stripped, so taking a hot shower is not possible. He also said a plumber would need to address this issue. This made the 2 bath condo into a 1.5 bath condo. Upon arrival, the refrigerator required cleaning, as did the window sills. We removed the dead bugs and dust. There is also no book to explain the TV usage and/or a map of the local area. This was concerning, as the property lists a pool, washer/dryer and gym as amenities. Communicating to the guests where these are located would be useful. There are no window shades in one of the bedrooms. Underneath both beds, there was an abundant amount of dust and dirt. We realized this, when one guest's allergies kicked in after the first night sleeping there. We then cleaned under both beds, finding an empty bottle of wine and a baseball cap. These areas should be cleaned, it's easy, since the surface is hardwood.
