We loved the house and everything in it and I wish I could give it 5 stars, however there were a few things that kind of bothered my group and I. The upstairs bathroom didn’t have a lock and it was a nuisance. There weren’t any curtains on the windows either. Overall, the house was great! The highlight of the trip was the fireplace!! 💕
Loved everything about the stay. The house is clean, well located, easy to find, comfortable, warm, had everything we needed. Highly recommended!
It was a nice place to stay, the weather made us leave the day before we originally planned and payed for. Certainly not the properties fault for that. The house is spacious but really needs a deep cleaning. The beds were comfortable. You’re in the woods but I always enjoy curtains or blinds in the bathroom and bedroom windows. We cook more than half the meals when we go somewhere but there was no place to store a bag of garbage, which we had after the first 2 days. No recycling bin so everything was garbage. One more note if you don’t have 4 wheel drive do not go here in the winter, not sure that I knew that before I booked our stay. We would certainly stay again.
I read all of the review prior to booking, so I had an idea of what to expect. First the good- great neighborhood with access to many amenities - although you do have to pay for them separately from Booking. The kitchen and living spaces are large and can accommodate a large group. The Viking stove is excellent, although very dirty. The upstairs rooms are large, airy and accommodating. The lot itself is wooded and spacious, and although it is surrounded by about 3 or 4 neighbors, we never felt too cluttered. Now the not so great: if you come in the winter, you need other snow, tires and or all wheel drive with traction. We had a Chevy suburban, and that was able to get up the driveway covered in ice and snow. But our friends with a Volvo and all wheel drive had difficulty getting a grip on the driveway, as it does have a significant slope to it. When we arrive, there was 3 feet of snow on the deck and a layer of ice. That prevented us from being able to open the front door the whole way. Although we talked to the management company about this, no one ever came to remove the ice, or do anything with that. The driveway was plowed once while we were there, even though there was an ice storm and multiple snowfall. We shoveled the rest ourselves. There was no salt for the deck or the driveway, we had to buy multiple 5 gallon buckets of salt ourselves. the house is dirty and in need of a deep cleaning. We arrived with our own cleaning supplies, and still that was not enough to remove the mildew in the bathrooms. There are NO drapes on the windows, even in the upstairs bathrooms. If you’d like to sleep in, that won’t be possible with the amount of light coming in the morning. And if you need privacy while you’re in the bathroom, forget about it – we could see from the bathroom window to the lighted window of a house next-door. Other reviews mentioned this exact same issue. Hot water heater is inconsistent in the master bath- lukewarm one minute and then boiling hot the next, and then cold after that. The kitchen utensils that were in the drawer were dirty- we had to run everything in the dishwasher before we used it to confirm it was clean. It is clear that the kitchen has not been deep cleaned in a long time. Overall, the house could be great, but it has the vibe of being run by a commercial enterprise that is not remotely paying attention to any details.
Great space to relax and unwind close to so many great attractions. Very comfortable and well appointed home. Fun vibe, very clean, everything was great.
This is an awesome private cabin the woods! The decor provided a great vibe and the views of the woods from every part of the house were also fantastic. The location is great as it allowed us easy access to both Quechee and Hanover, NH. Would strongly recommend
