Rating
This is a beautiful home with lovely grounds. The original home is probably 200 years old, with a renovated, modern kitchen, added family room/dining area, and updated bathrooms. We were there for five days for Middlebury College graduation, with my elderly parents, my sister, my husband, and our daughter. This charming house worked very well for us. It’s worth noting that you need to be able to manage a flight of stairs (which my parents were able to do).
The beds are not arranged in the same arrangement as mentioned in the description. If your group have multiple ppl you need to communicate well with the owner first. Then the most critical problem is, this platform don't have a user-friendly communication method.
we absolutely adored this house. It was like an updated version of your grandparent’s farmhouse. It had so much character and charm. We are already planning our next trip there.
Loved the house! Stayed there 5 years ago and it is just as lovely and convenient to amazing hiking and day trips. Amenities are high end (we miss the Gien dishes) and the view is lovely and the town is quiet. But unfortunately we had a HUGE wasp problem (more than 40 wasps in the house during our stay). One of us got stung. The people that I texted were nice but it took a long time and many texts to even get to the point where our situation was attempted to be resolved. It felt like we were talking to various people who were not in contact with each other—so there was no coordination on how to escalate the problem to get immediate help. In the end, we got a small refund (ultimately we were told that they couldn’t get rid of the wasps in the house) but it didn’t really make up for the fact that we lived in a house full of wasps for a week. On the flip side, now we are used to wasps haha.
A Bing Crosby, white Christmas location. Comfortable, workable house with lots of "retreat" areas. Handled six of us without ever feeling there wasn't enough space. Great outdoor setup as well. Complete privacy.
Love the house and property. The sun room is very comfy and cozy!
