This house had everything needed for our party including cookware, dishes, large dinning room table, comfortable couches, hot tub, adequate WiFi and tv. Location was great for skiing and close to downtown Stowe restaurants and breweries. Several rooms had very firm beds, which could be improved with a mattress topper. Fireplace was not functioning. There are individual thermostats for each floor, which we didn’t realize till the third day. Lower level thermostat is located in the corner of a bedroom. House is in need of some general maintenance like repairing exterior wood/eaves, fireplace repair, and replacing furnace filters as examples.

Loved the size. Location. Kitchen needs work cabinets need fixing or replacement. There was a hole in a door and spackle on walls. Place needs a refresh. Fireplace with a lot of firewood but renters were not allowed to use. Which we did not. Game and books available. Lack of instructions regarding heating system. One thermostat was obvious but the other was in a bedroom downstairs not apparent to us. One of the bedrooms had been an office and this room got very warm. Could hear people clearly in the kitchen in this room. If you are a light sleeper don’t use that one.

Location to Stowe resort was good, 10 minute drive to the mountain. House is outdated, needs a bit of work, especially the heating system.

This could have been a nicer home with a little TLC. The place was clean, well-plowed and ready for guests. But there were multiple issues. First, the advertised fireplace had a sign not to use it. This was exacerbated by the fact that the thermostats kept turning themselves down to 55 when we were out skiing for the day. It took 5+ hours to get the place warmed back up to 68. Then the thermostats also seemed to turn down to 65 overnight on their own. Weirdly, the master bedroom got really hot while the rest of the house was cold. No fireplace and a cold home were not enjoyable. The shower in the downstairs bathroom had a broken handle and did not work. The bed in the master bedroom was not level. It leaned to one side, especially on the right. There were multiple spots on the wood floors on the main floor kitchen and hallway where the woodwork was so bad that I kept catching my foot and got a small cut. The counter in the master bath was severly cracked. Other issues with missing blinds on bedroom windows and blinds too short to cover the entire window. The light switches were very confusing. Some did not work at all. Others were in weird places. Overall, just not our best experience.

House would be perfect for a younger crowd who can step up the front step and navigate the back yard.

10/10 would recommend staying here. Property was perfect for a group of friends. Great location and great service. We cannot wait to visit again.
