We had a fabulous time at the big yellow camp and are already planning to return next year if available. Our family gathered from around the country for a week of sharing time - 12 in all. The camp is nicely set up to accommodate this group size. Bedrooms are small but nicely done, clean and most with queen beds that suited our need perfectly. The beds were deemed comfortable by all. Having the outdoor shower makes 1.5 baths workable. There is good gathering space between dining area, enclosed porch area with direct lake view and inner gathering space with more cozy comfy furniture. Kitchen is adequate. We enjoyed being outside on level grass with the lawn chairs or on the beach with provided umbrella. It is the Vermont rustic camp vibe which is what our family longed for! Thank you to the family owners and VACASSA for making our time together possible.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. Very spacious. So great to walk out and be on the beach. Perfect location - less than a mile to the causeway for biking or walking. Short drive into Burlington. Only complaint is the lack of cleanliness. Happened to move one of the footstools/furniture on the deck - nasty underneath. Dirt throughout the house. Dusty. Prints on the windows. Bugs on the interior light fixtures. Mold in the shower. We left the place cleaner than we found it. If it were guaranteed to be spotless - we would consider staying there again because of all the good stuff.
This is the second year we spent a week at the camp. Our family had a wonderful time. We coordinated our stay with families at two other camps and it was the children and adults had a wonderful time enjoying the water and playing on the beach. Everyone wants to do it again next year!
