Wooded Wonder

It was not clean one bit. The furniture was totally stained and worn out and not what was in the pictures. It was filthy. Silverware was put away dirty with food crumbs in the silverware trays. Windows and doors all had greasy handprints, cobwebs in windows with spiders in them. Found evidence of mice in an extra blanket. The ceiling fan has an inch of dust and the bed linens were stained. The pillow shams were black from people sleeping on them. There's one big cheap pan and it's misshapen and caked in grease. The heat in the kids room doesn't work. My daughter was frozen. When we arrived the steps were icy and I slipped. The decks have 3' snow on them so aren't able to be used to look at the scenery and there was a beer can in one deck snow bank. Definitely expected somewhere clean for a $400 cleaning fee. The management company will only say " I understand. l'd be frustrated too! Anything else we assist with?" And do nothing so booker beware! I can provide pictures of all of it if anyone is curious look at the Booking.com review.

This property was misrepresented and unacceptable as a rental property. The property manager is completely unresponsive and hinds behind Vcasa. Vcasa is completely inept and gives all power to the local manager who is allowed to be unresponsive and rent an unlivable propriety with no repercussions. My family and friends (3 families, 6 adults and 6 children) were at risk of grease fire from the stove/oven which was unusable due to grease leaking into the basement. Additionally, the oven barely worked and only 1 burner on the stove worked, which we stopped using after we realized it was a fire hazard. On top of that their was no propane in for the grill, so we could not cook. There was mouse droppings in the basement and mouse traps all over the house, they clearly knew their was a problem and didn't take care of it before our stay. The dryer was clearly broken with broken parts on the top. The TVs are so old you can't even cast to them, there is no cable or internet connection to the TVs, they are useless. The sheets are torn and there are no mattress covers, which is unsanitary. Several mattresses has what looked like pee stains and human feces. The jetted tub did not work. The fireplace would turn on for 30 minutes and then turn off and we could not turn it back on for 1-2 hours. Probably a safety feature, which means it is a safety risk. The WiFi did not allow for 12 devices for our 12 guests. There were broken dinning chairs so only 5 guests could sit at the table for 12 people. The couch had stains. This is basically camping with running water. I was offered a 10% refund for my stay and was denied additional refund by the local property team who have not even been to the property to see the desease and safety hazards they are putting their guest at risk of. I was told by Vcasa I would get placed into a new home but that never happened either. We were never told that these issues existed before we arrived or we would have cancelled.

Good location

We had easy access to West Dover and Wilmington while still in a quiet area where the two three year olds could play safely in the back yard. Plenty of room for them and eight adults as well.
