Green Mountain Zen

This house is a quick, easy drive to the mountain as well as to town. Clean and very comfortable. We spent all our time on the mountain, so it was just what we needed for sleeping and stashing our stuff.

The house was just recently built and was designed as a "high efficiency" home. It was very nice, clean and the family enjoyed it however there were multiple HVAC issues with the house. First of all there is no heat in the downstairs master bedroom...We stayed there during a very cold spell when the outdoor air temperatures were around 0F -10F and woke up in the morning with the bedroom temp around 50F. Had to utilized an electrical space heater we found to stay warm however, could not leave it on when we left for the day skiing. There was also an issue with the domestic hot water system...the house had a Rheem electric heat pump hot water heater however it did not have any recovery time. After (2) showers we ran out of hot water and had to wait at least 1-2 hours before we could use the hot water again. This was a hudge issue since we had (6) people staying at the house. Most of us had to take cold showers....and never mind trying to get HW to do the dishes. The ammenites were good and everything was new but the kitchen did lack a few useful utensils and cooking items, plates, pans, etc. Overall the place was very nice, just needed basement heat and extra hotwater to take multiple showers.

House is right in Ludlow and easy access to Okemo. Newer house, nice big kitchen, but sparsely furnished and decorated. Could be great with a few improvements!

This home was SO amazing!! It had everything we needed and more! It’s extremely clean, beautiful, and in a wonderful location super close to Okemo. Will definitely book again!!
