Overview
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, you'll delight in the beautiful woodland setting of this cabin in Plymouth, ideally situated a short drive from world-class ski slopes, sparkling lakes, and some of the prettiest foliage you've ever seen.
This peaceful cabin is tucked into the forest less than eight miles southeast of Killington Ski Area (and even closer to the Skyeship Base Lodge). Here along the chain of lakes, Pico Mountain and Okemo Mountain are within a 15-mile drive while state parks, state forests, and scenic hiking trails await in every direction.
Walls of windows and multiple skylights seem to bring the woods into the living space. At the heart of the house is a two-sided, stacked-stone hearth, with a woodstove to warm you as you stream movies on the living room TV, share meals at the dining room table, or pull up a chair to the desk area to catch up on a few emails. In the pristine summer months, you'll have use of a back deck that runs the length of the house with a gas grill and a picnic table for alfresco meals.
Additional features include two bedrooms with forest views, a private washer/dryer, and complimentary WiFi throughout the house.

While we were sad that Memorial Day had to be spent inside due to rain, it was the PERFECT place to be for it. This place is full of ceiling to floor windows, allowing you to enjoy all the rain. We also started a fire during this time, played games, & read some of the many cool books they had. The only thing missing would have been the record player working (please get it a new needle, you have soooo many good records). We will be back at some point!
Loved how close this place is the the mountains and we loved the living space as well. No problems at all. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was extremely cold! The common areas never got above 61 degrees. The thermostat was unreadable and the customer service representative advised me to get new batteries, which I did at my own expense. That made the thermostat readable, but it did not increase the temperature at all. We had to wear jackets, hats, and gloves indoors to stay warm. I was in touch with customer service three times about this issue and someone finally dropped off three small space heaters, one of which immediately blew a fuse in the house so there was no electricity in part of the house until we figured out where the fuse box was. Even making a fire in the wood stove fireplace (no wood provided) did not warm the room sufficiently. It was extremely uncomfortable and it was an overall miserable experience for us. On top of everything else, the house was also quite dirty. The kitchen cabinets were dirty, the floors were dusty, and there was a sticky spot on the coffee table that had dog hair stuck on it! There was a leak from the base of the toilet. Not included in the listing is that this house is up a very steep and long hill, so it requires a four wheel drive vehicle to access in snowy conditions. Once inside the house, there is a note that the house has mice! I understand that a cabin in the woods might have mice, but that information needs to be disclosed before booking for those who have allergies or phobias. It was the worst rental property experience that I have ever had! Would not recommend!
The location was nice, but the house was not clean and was in disarray. It would’ve been much easier staying in a hotel. I did not go on vacation to clean house before occupying it.
Very peaceful cabin with a nice view of the mountain. Huge deck, great for sitting on and looking at all the stars.
Cozy cabin in such a great location! Easy access to skiing, restaurants and nightlife. Private location. Great stay!
