We had a wonderful stay — easy ski in / ski out access to the Solitude lift, and a beautiful condo with plenty of space. Super clean. Would recommend!
Location is great and it has a gym/pool access which is great! Clean and perfect space!
Easy ski in ski out ,solitude lift right there ,our contact for any problems was available we had none but spoke to him with a few questions & he helped us out
We came for a two day ski trip with 3 overnights. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate and the temps were negative and there is no refund on the condo. We tried to make the best of it by still driving to Vermont for the weekend hoping temps would improve enough for the second day. Which they did. Unfortunately our 'make the best of it' included using the heated pool with our two kids. But when we got to the pool we found that it was covered and not allowed to be used. A group of families were already there and a bunch of disapointed little kids were in the hot tub with too many adults standing around half dressed ready to swim. All this to say - there was zero communication about the pool closure. The condo itself was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of extra linens and towels. We figured out the tv pretty quick using the firestick remote but it was confusing at first there were several remotes and nothig was marked as default. With such frigid temps we were looking forward to using the fireplace - there was plenty of firewood available. We built a fire and it was going good but we soon realized all the heat inside the condo was going up the chimney. It got remarkably colder even though we had a fire lit. We had to wait for the fire to go out before we could close the flu and trap the heat again. We were pretty cold that first day because of this. Bring throw blankets - there are only 2 on the couch. This is just a note for anyone in the future. If it hadn't been so cold that day - maybe the fire would'be been nice. We did cook our meals in the kitchen and we make a lot of eggs. The frying pans weren't in good condition and most likely hand me downs or ready to be replaced. Eggs need a good frying pan. There was salt, sugar, and other spices available which I appreciated. We brought Kcups of coffee but there wasn't a keurig machine - that's my fault for not checking the listing first so worth mentioning. There is a carafe style coffee maker and filters but no ground coffee. Lastly - the skiing! We did get out for 9 runs on the second day, taking lots of breaks. Since it was so cold we didn't venture far or high. We stuck to the Solitude Quad and skiid the greens. I'm a wimpy skier and I was just fine on these trails. There were plenty of blues that intersected the greens I was on so my kids could branch off but still meet up with me at the lift. Good location between Clock Tower and Jackson Gore. But we didn't dare venture too far to either base because they were only running half the lifts and we didn't want to get stuck having to go all the way to the summit to traverse back to Solitude. All that to say - just study the map and the trails that lead you back and its easy enough. I would definitely stay in Solitude again. If we could have had better conditions, we would have gladly skied all over the mountain and been fine to make our way back.
