As described and everything was great. Nice rooms and great living room for hanging out watching tv or playing games. We had a very nice time.
The location was perfect for a trip to Okemo. There was plenty of room and the house was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
Very nice cozy home.
Our stay at this enchanting farmhouse on Flatow Road in Ludlow, Vermont, was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm, history, and serene beauty of this home. Nestled in the most picturesque part of Vermont, with breathtaking views of Okemo and the surrounding snow-covered mountains, it felt like a storybook escape. The house is spacious yet cozy, blending modern comfort with historic character. Each room is thoughtfully curated, from the king-sized bedroom with its abundance of storage and delightful touches like books and soft blankets, to the cozy full-bed rooms with their warm radiators and inviting decor. Every corner of the home feels welcoming and filled with personality. The kitchen is a cook’s paradise, fully stocked with everything you could need—plenty of coffee supplies, spices, cookware, and even a beautiful Dutch oven. Mornings spent sipping coffee by the fireplace in the living room, with views of snow-covered trees and mountains, were nothing short of magical. The living room itself is a haven, with a comfortable couch, charming decor, and the warmth of the radiators making it the perfect spot for family time or quiet reflection. The upstairs reading and game room added an extra layer of coziness, filled with books and games to enjoy, while the sunroom offers incredible potential for a stunning bar setup. The house is brimming with thoughtful details, from the foam roller upstairs to the perfectly organized garage and shed stocked with wood for the fireplace. Even the snowstorm on our last day felt like part of the adventure, and having the shed to park our car made all the difference. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked, though small updates to the upstairs sink and towels could elevate the experience even more. The electric wood stove in the sunroom stopped working mid-stay, but it didn’t take away from the overall warmth and charm of the house. The owners clearly pour so much love and care into this historic home, and it shows in every detail. Staying here felt like stepping back in time, with the beautiful wood beams and the creaks of the floors adding to its charm, while still enjoying all the comforts of modern living. It’s a peaceful, rejuvenating retreat perfect for families, couples, or anyone seeking serenity in one of the most beautiful corners of Vermont. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to stay in this gem of a farmhouse. It’s a place we’ll be thinking about long after we’ve left, and we cannot wait to return to this idyllic, one-of-a-kind home. Thank you for sharing this incredible slice of Vermont with us! Highly, highly recommend.
We chose this property as it was close to Okemo and at the same time it is quiet secluded. It has lots of patio and plenty of inner space to accommodate a party of 8 confortably.
Great rustic and beautiful farmhouse. The gas fireplace in the sunroom area did not work for us the first part of our stay, but they refunded us $ due to this. They did talk me through the fix over the phone which I appreciated! The main house heating furnace scattered around the rooms are steam furnace generated; was a little noisy at times and dry air in house, but worked well. Living quarters were a very pleasant temperature with excellent Nest Thermostat. Make sure you have FWD in winter off this unpaved road, but very scenic and short drive to Okemo!
