If you're visiting in winter, you'll have your choice of nearby ski slopes, including King Pine (eight miles south), Cranmore (11 miles north), and Attitash (18 miles northwest). You'll also be a few minutes' drive from the Conway Scenic Railroad and a wealth of tax-free outlet shopping in Conway and North Conway.

This was our third time staying at Little Bear Cottage, and we have loved each visit. Can't beat the waterfront access - canoeing on beautiful Big Pea Porridge Pond and watching loons on the water is always such a treat. Cottage is clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Highly recommended

We loved the location. Private enough and right on the water. The fire pit is awesome, the beds were comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Couldn’t get the inside fire to work properly or outdoor grill to work properly; but that could very well be human error. Also needed to get a fire stick, as no matches were provided. Well appointed other than that. We’ll be back next year.

The cottage itself was clean on the inside, bedding clean and comfortable , kitchen ok , my issue was the screen porch and out door furniture and wood work. Screens broken on screen porch and kitchen door, chairs stained and very old on porch and cleaning supplies - vacuum cleaners on the porch as well as empty gas tanks for gas grill. There was mold on the molding on the porch... the beach was the saving grace , with working kayaks, a nice dock and swimming agrea - beautiful
