Very peaceful and wonderful views. Cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Would recommend for anyone wanting a nice, quiet getaway.
The view is fantastic.
We enjoyed our 5 days at Maggie's Cottage. The house was neat and well equipped. The access to the pond was excellent. I really wish I has brought a kayak/paddleboard as it looked like it would be fun to explore. The setting is very wooded and surprisingly not buggy at all. The views of the pond are very special, however jet skis and motorboat on the water and the proximity of the other houses made it not particularly serene. The unexpected loon calls and sighting made up for the human caused noise.
The location was very peaceful, calming, serene. There are no canoes, kayaks or paddleboards included although I was informed in advance that paddleboards would be available. There are many inflatable floats but most have leaks in them. The house itself was very nice. Beds were very comfortable, and the sofas have been upgraded since the photos were taken and were also very comfortable. The kitchen has most everything you would need to cook, and having a propane grill with a large tank outside was convenient. Sanbornville has a nicely stocked small grocery store and an excellent restaurant--Tumbledown Farm to Fork.
This is our second time staying as this house is private, very clean water, quiet pond, comfortable bed and has central AC. There was a mouse in the house as noted by mouse droppings on the kitchen counter, stovetop, oven and bathroom towels. Inconvenient to have to clean the counters, stovetop each morning and not leave anything food on the counter and store our food in our tote. Contacted rental company , no exterminator came out during our stay, hope one came out during the next renter’s period. If we knew there was no mouse issue then we would rent again as we understand there are mice in the area and we really enjoy this area.
This was the perfect place for our family of four’s vacation! The house was wonderful and had a beautiful view of the lake. All the amenities provided were more than we needed and the master bed was so comfortable! We would definitely stay again or recommend it to anyone looking for a secluded place on the lake!
