Pauli Point

This lakeside property is really nice. The fire pit is right near the shore with a picnic table nearby. Make sure to bring firewood if you plan to use fire pit. Was happy to find a horseshoe layout with horseshoes provided. The 3 bedroom home was very clean and nicely laid out with a spacious living room with two large couches and an individual chair and table with chairs for dining. The screened in porch has great views of the lake and mountains. A pair of binoculars were provided also. Nice kitchen with everything provided to prepare meals. A country convenience store is only 5 minutes down the road and the Hobbs Tavern at about 15 minutes from the house had great food. A definite place I want stay at again.

Loved being waterfront with private access. Taught the dogs to swim, put our fishing boat in and were able to keep it tied up right at the cottage. So convient to go out on the lake whenever we wanted. Screen porch offered beautiful views and a great spot for the dogs to dry off.

This is a wonderful camp right on the water that has so much potential. You can tell this place was once well loved and cared for by the family that owns it, but sadly isn’t getting properly cleaned/maintained or updated. Pros: - The space was open and very functional - The proximity to the water was unbeatable - The enclosed porch was fantastic - The privacy was great - The AC was top notch - Horseshoes game set-up outside was so much fun - Water was very clear and shallow out a fair distance. Cons - Inside: - Upon arrival, the whole place smelled like feet and cheese. Did not smell like it had been cleaned. - Bedroom #1 smelled like vomit. I assume the prior guests had a rip-roaring time and the cleaning people just didn’t bother to address it. - The couches were ancient and smelled awful. Covers couldn’t have been washed recently. - The mattresses were unbearable. Hard as a rock or bouncy like a trampoline. - No dishwasher and so trusting prior guests or the cleaning crew to wash them. All the dishes needed washing BEFORE use (stuck on food and stains on most dishes in the cupboards). - Potholders had old, crusty food stuck to them - Cookware was old, some rusted and unusable - The “shower” had us all laughing. Zero water pressure. It was a slow dribble, at best. And the shower curtain had pink and brown mildew on it. - Shower supplies/dispensers provided, but were empty. - Single ply toilet paper - I’m talking gas station quality tp. - Paper towels were useless - lowest quality possible. - Garbage can in the kitchen had no lid to contain trash smell. Also food stains and smears all over the wall behind the trash cans. Cons - Outside: - There was dog poop all over the outside, so no bare feet for anyone. - There was sand all over the back and side porches - had not been swept. I even found a deeply buried door mat while I was sweeping up. - Was indeed hard to get to the water. Impossible if you have mobility issues. Multiple bad reviews (for years) on clealiness and yet no improvements made as a result. While the location is worth every penny - for the condition of the place, I would expect to pay much less. In the future we will look to find another place. One where the quality of amenities and level of cleanliness matches the price point.

Only stayed for a couple nights and didn’t use water as our friends live on the lake. We needed a pet friendly house and it didn’t disappoint. Very cute and quaint property and definitely would be back.

Great spot, great location. Screened in porch is terrific, access to the lake is terrific with beautiful views and sunsets. Kitchen appliances could use some work-but not the reason we were there.
