The location was perfect, right next to the lower Saco trail. The place was great too, easy check in/out, and clean, warm comfy place to stay after skiing.
Great location for skiing.
The quietness of the place and the living space.
Property is very well situated very close to Crawford notch and Conway, if you are here for fall colors.
The negative reviews of this property are all accurate, even the old ones. I went into this rental with low expectations after reading the reviews and this place was exactly what I expected, but the price was so low compared to others in the area that it worked well for us. The biggest problem is the nasty old smelly carpets that are gross to walk on and give the entire place a musty odor. We were able to make it bearable because we kept most windows open all the time. There is dog paraphernalia in the kitchen drawers so that is probably why it smells like wet musty dog. I would avoid this place if it's a season where you can't keep the windows open. There are also lots of broken things to work around like closet doors and plumbing issues. If you are interested in renting this place, you have been warned.
The other negative reviews are spot on. While the location was great, the place itself was not worth the stay. The hot water in the master bedroom shower is still scalding hot (wife got burned). Others complained about this, as did we. The toaster was broken on day 1, and 5 days later they were unable to replace. We had to go out for breakfast. The rugs had dirt trails all on them where people walked. The couches were stained and leather torn. The comforter had a hole in it (probably has not been washed in years). To top it off, the wifi was unscrewed from the wall (I found it and fixed it), the tv had been unplugged and remote control hidden in the back of one of the kitchen draws (why!?), and the fridge stunk like old cheese. I cannot recommend you spend your hard earned money here. We were happy to be back home after our stay.
