The Cottage Retreat

We returned to our favorite cottage in Wells, ME for our end of summer vacation and had a wonderful week! We are always so comfortable and cozy in this cottage. The beds and furniture are inviting, clean and super comfy. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, as always. The kids took full advantage of the on-site pools, basketball and pickleball courts and felt safe walking/jogging the loop on the property. We loved the central location and spent plenty of time exploring nearby Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, York and Wells. The go-karts and mini-golf right down the road were a big hit with the kids too! Can’t wait to stay here again!!

We loved our stay at Summer Village! The house is located near the entrance and the pools, which was very convenient. The cottage is gorgeous, fully equipped and well kept. We strongly recommend!

We love everything about this cottage and can’t wait to stay again! The house itself is super cozy, with comfy furniture to lounge on, very comfortable beds, and plenty of blankets for cooler nights. It is impeccably clean! The furnishings are beachy and modern, and the kitchen is well-stocked with anything you could need for cooking at home. We even ordered new pans for home after trying out the awesome pans at this cottage! :) We were happy to have a good sized dining table for meals, and the gas grill and Adirondack chairs were perfect for some outdoor grilling and relaxing! Family games supplied by the owners were a nice touch for our quiet or rainy evenings at the cottage. The Summer Village property is also a huge selling point for this cottage. We felt safe at all times with the gated entry to the property. We enjoyed the two pools and jacuzzi (for the adults), pickleball (just grab some free rackets for the week at the clubhouse), gym facilities, and basketball courts! We felt we could safely let the kids walk or ride scooters up to the basketball courts because the driveway/loop isn’t busy and cars move slowly. The cottage is located very conveniently on the property, within steps of one of the pools and tennis/pickleball courts. The pools are clean, large and have plenty of chairs on the pool deck for lounging. Restrooms at the pools were so convenient so you don’t have to go back and forth to the cottage all day! The location of Summer Village in Wells couldn’t be more convenient. We enjoyed very short drives to several beaches, restaurants, shopping and strolling in downtown Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The central location provided convenience but didn’t feel too crowded or busy. We can’t wait to return to Wells again soon!
