Sunday River Resort, with its eight peaks, 53 miles of trails, and 870 acres of terrain, is 16 miles west, as are the Sunday River Golf Club and the Sunday River Bridge - an iconic covered bridge also known as Artists Bridge. If you're looking to hike one of the most challenging sections of the Appalachian Trail, head to Grafton Notch State Park only 20 miles west.
