This is a classic Maine lake/pond feel and experience. The views are wonderful as you feel like you’re on the water. Beach is a Maine one, not a pristine sandy one like in the south so bring something if your feet are sensitive, otherwise great. Nice wide area, lots of water toys to play with; 5 or more blow up tubes, some life vests, 2 kayaks, a large flat board. A nice fire pit, 6 chairs and 3 side tables for beach area (we enjoyed making s’mores in evening around the fire). Water is shallow near the dock and bottom is very silty so when you try walking you sink into it and along with the typical Maine ponds lots of weeds. There were lots of ducks visiting our beach front daily. Mostly first thing in morning, then leaving for most of the day and returning by evenings. Television is great with good options for viewing.
Lovely place, great location
We came from NY and were visiting Maine and Acadia for the first time. The stay was such a dream, and the drive to other areas wasn't bad. The house itself was pretty nice and comfy. Some of the furnishings were a bit older and basic but still very charming. The guest house was cute, although I wouldn't recommend that third bedroom for adults. Really the selling point here is that wonderful lakefront. We arrived at night and waking up to the view was so romantic. We had a campfire our last night and just watched the stars while eating lobster and clams. There were kayaks and a 2-person paddleboat we used to float on the lake and chat in the middle of the night. This was a really lovely place, and we are so grateful the owners are renting it out for others to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Waterfront beach was wide, dock in great shape, firepit nice touch, covered area for grilling even in rainy days. Peaceful Beauty of the Maine Waterfront
Beautiful home in a cute waterfront setting. Plenty to see and do, but we were content just ‘hanging out’ on the water.
We loved our stay at this location. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
