Rating
Photos due the house justice, its really big, spacious on all floors, great for groups/kids, and views are wonderful. During our group of 9 stay, which included 4 kids, the entire house was freezing cold. A technician came by after we called, but caused a heat wave at night (80 degrees+) and discovered a leaky pipe which we emptied shortly before an overflow issue. The basement area (game room, bunk beds, etc.) was at 54 degrees most of the weekend and unusable. Really a shame considering how wonderful the house is. The HVAC needs serious attention, you'll want to be sitting next to the fireplace if it isn't! After complaining we were refunded $218.
Overall, the house is great. Location to Sunday River was perfect - only a 13 minute drive. The layout of the house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space and each couple had their own bathroom. Loved the open concept. The basement with the pool table and ping pong table was great to have. Although there were no good ping pong balls and the paddles could be updated. The views are amazing and the hot tub was very nice after a day of skiing. The living room furniture needs to be updated. When you sit on the couch, it feels like you hit the floor. Also, there are no dressers in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms so no place to put your clothes. Definitely bring dish soap, laundry soap and DW soap if you plan on staying a week as they supply you with a very minimal starter pack. We did have an issue with the heat/thermostats. Didn't matter what you set it at, it had a mind of it's own. I did let them know it should be serviced. But as I said, overall, the house is great and we would definitely stay again.
Great house, great veiw!
A perfect spot for our group of 17. Very comfortable beds and couches. Amazing view! Fun basement games, great bunk room for kids, and a clean, well-functioning hot tub. Definitely a house we’d come back to!
