Things to know
Full kitchen without a dishwasher
There are two kayaks and one canoe available.
Water shoes are highly recommended in the lake.
Dock is installed when the lake has reached a stable level. This is generally after Memorial Day.
Personal watercraft and jet skis are not allowed on Androscoggin Lake. Regular boats are allowed. There is a public boat launch in Wayne.
This is a rustic/rural area with a few nearby neighboring cabins. Wildlife and vast areas of forest and swampy wilderness are nearby, so a loose dog can easily become lost.

The view was Awsome, and having a campfire made things even better.
The place is just as described. The lake is big, and not busy at all. There are kayaks available, and several little islands to explore. The home is located in the woods and is very quiet. The home has all the necessities. The owner was very friendly and available. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is it. If you are looking to do lake things this is it as well. We didn’t explore the area although had the intention to do so. We just found the place too relaxing and stayed in. There is a grocery market 16 min away ( they sell alcohol in the market as well, so you can do all the shopping in one trip).
We love the view and the solitude, enjoying the wildlife yet close to amenities. Good sightseeing recommendations.
Friendly neighbors, enjoyed conversation and sunset cruise. Tubbys, general store in Wayne worth visiting and weathervane restaurant north of winthrop.
Great home, great location. Would stay again!
The location next to the lake was perfect
