This is a darling little home, plenty warm and it was darn cold the whole time we were there and it snowed 2 feet of snow while we were there. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and we were able to get her in with our portable ramp through the back door. She had a wonderful party. We are so glad to do it at the beach. Thank you. We definitely will come again.
Beautiful cape traditional style home in a beautiful area. I have fond memories of this home and our time there. It worked for our party of five. It could use a few improvements and this is my warning: if you are planning on eight people staying, the house is pretty inadequate for sleep for that many people. The couch cushion was thin and lumpy. We took the cushion from the futon on the porch and put it over the couch bed and that worked great. Bring your own sheets and blankets and pillows, you will feel much better. Overall, we liked this home and would stay there again.
Very cozy inside, had everything you could ask for.
The location is great walking distance to the beach, place for the children to play outside. Generally nice layout and nice house. There were lots of toys and books for children and was a very cute beach Grandma vibe. The issues: the upholstery ( furniture, carpets, rugs) were oily feeling like the film they get when they aren't properly cleaned or cleaned regularly. A simple clean with the proper tools would be an easy fix The futon on the front room foldout was filthy and had a dirt quilt over the top. a good upholstery cleaner could have fixed this issue too. The dishwasher was busted obviously with a runner off the bottom rack so it fell into the spinner so some dishes weren't cleaned well in the cabinets and no one had done anything to fix the issue. it was that way when we arrived. Since it says run the dishwasher when you leave or hand wash it was pretty obvious someone had seen it in this condition and put away dishes and did nothing. My husband propped it back together but again it should be an easy fix and hopefully will be fixed for future guests. Another Thing for younger little ones, the one room for kids had a big shelf around the bed with lots on it some of the things are fragile and I had to move some things away from the edges and lower shelves to keep them safe from my two year old. Also when i was reading books my middle child I bumped the shelf and a picture fell down bumping her head ( I mostly managed to catch/stop it so she was fine and the picture was fine) but just be aware it wobbles when bumped and if things aren't on just right they might fall. The other "kids" room had a Game of thrones collection of books on the desk which we took out and moved to the adult room as My eldest can read but is in no way older enough for GoT.
Nice location and generally nice place. However we reported after leaving a couple hours in the morning during stay that upon returning noticed a previously closed window was open. I noticed the outside trash had been removed also so asked service number if anyone entered while we were away. Service is not local so said they'd contact local mgt and confirm back but never did. I had local police do full sweep before we re-entered to ensure safety. Otherwise place itself is nice besides moldy shower curtain but I do not trust Vicasa service.
I didn’t really live this property at all. Maybe the table in the back yard would be a good.
