Overview

Find yourself living the slow and quiet ranch lifestyle surrounded by the rural beauty of Columbia Falls here at Columbia Falls Ranch Living, a charming farmhouse built in 1912! Though this home has been wonderfully updated, the original flooring and wood trim throughout remains, keeping the historic feel alive and well. Perched on a 'working ranch', you will have the company of livestock on 100 acres of walkable and skiable (cross country) land.

When you find yourself having a bit of downtime inside, everyone will love spending quality time in the living room watching a favorite show or gathering at the dining table for a home-cooked meal prepared in the full eat-in kitchen. Everyone will have their own peace and quiet when need be with the five bedrooms split between two floors as well. Don't forget to treat yourself to a bit of pampering in the jetted tub when you need a break from the excitement of a family vacation. Whether you have come to check out the quaint town of Columbia Falls or want to make a day trip to Glacier National Park, this will be the perfect home base.

Things to Know

The fences are marked as 'hot' but also know that if there is a wire, that means it's an electric fence and should not be touched.

Ranch employees will be on and off the property most days to feed the livestock but they will not be near the home, just in the pasture area.

The house was build in 1912 and that’s what makes it look good, we really liked the visitor book that was in the house.

Absolutely peaceful and beautiful from every view. This is what Montana is all about. Cattle ranches and horses! Literally the most homey relaxing vibe! I booked this house for my peace while arranging my daughter’s destination wedding in GNP. Plenty of space in the bedrooms! I wished they would install some window a/c for the few days it gets hot but otherwise it was very comfortable. The owner was super friendly and responsive to my needs and was willing to bring me a kitchen aide mixer and a mini refrigerator for making the cakes and holding the flowers! They were able to accommodate our late checkout and was very helpful.

The home is nearly flawless, with only the slightest imperfections that hardly matter. The views are truly breathtaking, featuring a charming little barn framed by majestic mountains in the background. Every morning, you’ll be greeted by friendly horses grazing in the wonderful pasture. Inside, the home is impeccably clean, with ample bedrooms and plenty of fresh towels ready for your stay. While the starter kits are a bit basic, everything else more than makes up for it. One thing to note: the house doesn’t have air conditioning or window units—only fans—which means it can get a little warm during the day. It’s completely manageable and exactly as described in the listing, but having a window unit upstairs would be a nice bonus. Entertainment-wise, the TVs have excellent channel selections, and streaming Netflix is smooth and hassle-free. The country-style décor blends beautifully with the rural setting, where turkeys and deer often wander through the yard, adding to the magical countryside feel. Check-out rules are straightforward and fair. For guests concerned about stairs, there’s a bedroom on the lower level with its own bathroom, perfect for those who prefer to avoid the steep staircase. I wholeheartedly recommend this home—it’s a gem that most guests adore. The WiFi can be a bit slow (I needed it for work), but for vacationers, it’s fast enough for all the basics. And as with any country home, you might find a spider or two in the bathtub—just part of the rustic charm (I live in a 100-year-old farm house myself and know the drill). All in all, a wonderful, welcoming place to experience the best of country living!

Excellent location for exploring Glacier NP and the surrounding areas. No AC, but plenty of fans are provided to help with air flow. The amenities were excellent and there is plenty of space for 10 people (we had 9). The property and home are gorgeous and I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area with a large group.

We recently stayed in a charming 1912 farmhouse for three nights, and it was a fantastic experience! The home was impeccably clean and had all the charm of a historic farm, truly transporting you back in time. The property is part of a working ranch, so you’ll see horses and cows grazing peacefully in the back, adding to the authentic farm experience. While ranch hands are busy in the back fields, they won’t need to access the house, so you’ll have all the privacy you need. The only downside is that the home doesn’t have central air, but there are fans in every room to keep things comfortable. Overall, it’s a wonderful stay for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful, historic setting!

All the little details made our stay special! My kids especially loved all the baby horses! Thank you for a great vacation!
