we loved the windows in the kitchen and dining room. The views of the mountains were breathtaking.
We loved the amenities and the views!! Will definitely revisit
We loved the views, the porches with plenty of seatings, loved the amazing wood fire place in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of energy downstairs. Love the personal touch of decoration of the house. The road to the house we enjoyed it, definitely need a 4x4 but we like that experience. Sunset and sunrise are beautiful, breathtaking. So peaceful.
Amazing house, so cozy, unique build. Secluded; let the experienced driver drive. Great kitchen, well stocked. Would certainly stay again
This was our second visit, we were last here in July and returned again. Our experience was top notch, everything was clean (including the hot tub!). We love this home, it’s so comfortable and the view is just stunning. Kids loved the game room (pool, air hockey, and football), hot tub and the bunk bed! The loft area was also a big hit and very cozy sleeping. Can’t wait for trip #3!
If you are looking for your private retreat on a mountain where you feel like the only people in the world, this is your spot! You will be in the clouds, above the clouds, and spend a lot of time just watching the clouds because the view is just magnificent! As others have mentioned, the driveway is memorable! If it’s rained, I highly doubt you could get up to the house without 4 wheel drive. It’s long, steep and has 2 hairpin curves that will make you grip the wheel a little tighter! Once you get to the house though, you’ll not want to leave! We loved the house—the owners clearly love it and have put thoughtful touches throughout l, it’s very comfortable and has a fantastic layout. The decor is so beautiful, it just felt unique and like there was a lot of love and history behind the furniture and decorations. The only 2 issues we saw were the smell as other guests have mentioned. There’s definitely an odor-must and mildew. The house itself was clean but it did smell poorly and there are air fresheners everywhere. It helped to air it out with doors open! Also, the hot tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and hadn’t been in some time. We cleaned it ourselves and refilled the water to use it, but I did end up with an infection from the bacteria in the water. I would advise other guests to not use the hot tub (or any hot tub!!) unless there is a strong chlorine smell to it so you know it’s extremely clean! It’s a super nice hot tub, just make sure it smells like bleach before you use it! Finally, the only other issue we had was that the doorlock from the master to the hot tub was broken. That’s the only access to the deck with the hot tub, so in order to get out there, we had to either crawl through a window or use a screw driver to jimmy the lock so the door could open. Being sick now with the infection and having a rash all over my body, I wish we’d taken the broken lock as a sign to not go out to the hot tub, but we did figure out how to creatively get out there! We really did have a beautiful stay and would gladly return, and recommend this gorgeous home to anyone looking to get away! It would easily accommodate groups of 10-15 without feeling crowded. We loved it, it just needs a good deep clean!
