Even nicer in person than it seemed in the listing. Outdoor Fire pit is propane, more for ambiance, but inside fireplace is wood burning and cozy. Great for dogs, nice fenced in yard and walking the neighborhood was perfect for daily exercise. Groceries, restaurants and breweries a quick drive away. No grill at the house. Very comfortable bedrooms, good setup for family w/ kids.
We absolutely loved our stay at this house! The location was great - private with excellent views but also close enough to lots of restaurants in town. 4WD is recommended but we made it just fine in a minivan. The house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you may need. Customer service was excellent - our coffee maker wasn't working so they delivered a new one within a few hours, and they responded to all of our messages very quickly. We look forward to coming back in the near future!
We loved this house and plan to visit again. Privacy was great and the mountain views were great.
This is an incredible find. Not only is this property in a beautiful setting; but, the interior is masterfully designed, as well. Treat yourself to the incredible sunsets over the mountains, the wildlife (from a distance) and m the fantastic hiking! Serene and refreshing. Close to all Black Mountain amenities. Definitely check out Soji Spa and the Black Mountain Bistro.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gold Creek Mountain Retreat. The house is very well maintained and beautifully renovated. The kitchen was very stocked and organized. It had everything we needed to eat several meals at the cabin. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. Everything is exactly like the pictures—perfect. The view from the porch is beautiful for morning coffee or in the evening. The hot tub was very clean and nice to have available. The road is a very well maintained gravel road and it can be tricky navigating the first time to the house. We had no issue finding it though and the directions were great. We did spot bears in the area, so be bear aware. We loved our time at this cabin and hopefully will be back again soon.
This home is beautifully decorated, well maintained, and had everything I could possibly need including a fire pit, hot tub, and fully equipped kitchen. The property is very quiet and secluded with stunning views of the mountains. It s very close to the charming little town of Black Mountain, and not far from many other attractions, like Catawba Falls and Asheville. The road to the house could be a little bit tricky as the neighborhood has one way in and out. It’s one lane with lots of twists and turns. I would recommend getting there the first time during daylight hours because the road at night could be intimidating the first time.
