Overview

Creekside Farmhouse

Come to the secluded Creekside Farmhouse to roam along the streams and wander the private woodlands. Let your guard down, relax, and recharge. Enjoy indoor-outdoor mountain living at its finest with three spacious, beautiful porches to cuddle on and savor drinks or a good book. Snuggle by the cozy fireplace inside or circle a lovely campfire outside. Escape into romantic storybook bedrooms or out to an enchanting forest hideaway. Gather at the farmhouse table or have an alfresco picnic. Soak in the deep tub or cool your feet in the clear mountain brooks. This newly built, custom farmhouse has luxury features as well as original artistic, rustic touches that harken back to the property’s 120-year family heritage. For example, the main bedroom has an adjustable split-king Sleep Number bed (you can set your own comfort level), and its handmade eight-post bedframe and seating bench were crafted using trees from the house site. Thoughtful touches (including a well-equipped kitchen, blackout shades in the bedrooms, and three new Roku TVs that connect to the internet) and idyllic views ensure this is a home you will return to again and again. There are over 1.7 miles of private walking paths on the property, and it’s just a short drive to Holmes Forest or Jeter Mountain Orchard (10 minutes), DuPont Forest or Sky Top Orchard (15 minutes), and Pisgah Forest or Rock Creek Mountain Bike Park (20 minutes). This was a great rental home for us. It's very relaxing, and set well back from the road in a quiet area. The back view is woods and a creek, the front looks over farmland and a barn. The home was nicely furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. The large front and rear covered porches may be the best feature, with the rear porch screened and very well furnished for eating or relaxing outside. We had some rain during our stay, so it was really nice to have.

The house was perfect.

The house had all the comforts of home and we enjoyed walking around the property. Very nostalgic from our childhood. Country feel yet conveniently located near downtown and shopping. We can’t wait to return. Very conveniently located

Peaceful, charming, quiet and close enough to everything. The small creek was a fantastic spot for the kids to explore. Hope to come back.

Wonderful location tucked back in a private glade. A group of deer visited most days and daffodils were starting to bloom along the drive. Loved the convenience of the gas fireplace turned on by remote. Private but still just minutes to Flat Rock, as well as hikes at the Carl Sandburg house and Dupont State Forest.

Spacious, secluded natural sanctuary. Saw some sort of wildlife every day from turkeys to deer, many different bird species and other mammals native to the area. The spacious screened in back porch is one of my favorite places to hang out. The supplied gas grill was perfect for my grilling needs. Super close to the quaint city of Flat Rock and the spectacular hiking in DuPont state park.
