Altitude with Gratitude

My wife and I got away for the weekend and wanted to golf. We found this place and worked out perfect. My wife was impressed with the views, quietness (we both have demanding and chaotic jobs). Overall absolutely amazing for just a weekend.

Altitude with Gratitude is a beautiful, secluded mountain escape. The condo was very clean, well-appointed and the view absolutely incredible. An excellent alternative to staying in Bryson City if you are visiting for the train as it is a short, scenic drive to town or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park sights. As other reviews have mentioned, the drive up to the condo is on winding roads with steep inclines so driving up at night is a bit more adventurous than in daylight. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful condo!

The condo itself is truly lovely—beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and exactly as pictured. The furnishings are high-end and the beds were incredibly comfortable, which made our stay very relaxing. I wasn’t able to give a full five stars simply because the location and parking presented a few challenges. We arrived after dark, and the roads leading through the golf course are not well lit, which made navigating a bit difficult. It’s also important to know that this unit sits at the very top of the mountain, and the last stretch of road is quite steep. For families visiting for the Polar Express experience, one helpful note: the train uses Whittier as its “North Pole.” You’ll cross the train tracks on the way to the condo, and you’ll pass by the North Pole scene again when returning. Our kids noticed this right away, and it led to some tricky questions from our oldest—so just something to keep in mind. Overall, the condo itself is wonderful, and the mountain views are gorgeous; just be aware of a few logistical considerations depending on your plans and the time you arrive.

Up on the mountain with beautiful view on the mountains in autumn colors. Super comfortabel and clean vacation home, perfect for a short vacation. Just a little too far from the amenities like sauna and/or pool (for us not an issue).

This is our second time staying here, and everything is just as great as the first! The house is very clean, cozy, and well-equipped—it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from the windows are stunning. The sauna and heated pool are a great addition. We'd love to come back—this place truly feels like a home away from home!
