It was peaceful and the pond was great.
We were very disappointed with this house rental st Rock House at Big Bear Estates. House was in a nice private and safe location. However, upon the 2nd day of our stay we began to noticing things 1. Living room Rug dirty with dog hair (upon sweeping it, it looked as if it were never vacuumed or vacuum not picking up). I looked under vacuum and brush looks like it was NEVER cleaned from long human and dog hairs. Disgusting. No way it can clean like that. 2. Pieces of dog food found on the floor and rug. 3. No blow dryer (had to go out and buy) 4. Only 1 wash cloth (had to go out and buy) 5. No bathtub plug, therefore unable to take a bath. 6. Living room sofa and chair very uncomfortable, cushions sink down and hurts tailbone. 7. Lots of trash and food under sofa cushions. 8. Lots of trash left under Chest of drawers. Due to these problems I would never stay at this home again.
We enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving. The view of mountains and the fireplace were favorites, along with the peaceful, quiet area.
We Loved the Seclusion, Privacy, and Beauty of the Property...Lots of Windows allowing you to really enjoy the scenery...The Floor Plan was well-designed...The Pond when filled would have been the "icing on the cake"....but I think it has been a "dry" season there...It did Not take away of the Beauty, Restful, Retreat...
We loved cooking on the back deck. The home had plenty of common space and the kitchen was well-stocked. The location was centrally located but felt removed from town. House was clean.
