Guests appreciated the comfortable furnishings, generous indoor and outdoor seating, and well-stocked kitchen that made relaxing and spending time together easy. The home was frequently praised for being clean and well prepared for a comfortable stay. Its setting was valued for being peaceful, private, and conveniently located for exploring nearby towns and outdoor attractions. The standout feature is the spectacular mountain view, with guests especially enjoying the porches, deck, and hot tub for taking in sunsets and the scenery. This well-cared-for Watauga Vista cabin has end-of-the-road privacy and enough space for the whole family or group. It's only a couple-minute drive back to the highway, so civilization isn't far. Drive into town to find local eateries, arts, entertainment, and an array of family-friendly attractions. Take one of the many nature hikes through the wilderness or play on the lake to make your vacation next-level. Relax on the top deck or patio by rocking in the rocking chairs, swaying on the porch swings, lounging in the hot tub, or peeking out at the long-range view through the telescope to find unique wildlife. Inside you'll find a bright interior with plenty of space for all! The living area invites you to have great conversations around the fireplace, take in a move on the large TV on the mantle, or play a round of air hockey. Gather at the formal dining table to make memories of eating home-cooked meals or playing a competitive board game. Hobby chefs will love preparing dishes in the spacious kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the cupboard room you'll ever need. With five beds, there's more than enough room for everyone to have a comfortable night's sleep. Have fun together in the game room, where you'll find a ping pong table, a pool table, more air hockey, and a TV. Dine alfresco on the deck by the fire table and tell ghost stories. Love the view !! Best porch view I’ve had in a long time. House was very comfortable and clean! Stayed there when attending wedding in the area. Might be the best lot in the development!

The view from this property is absolutely stunning, and the house itself has a lot of charm. It’s older, but with some updates and more attention to cleaning, it could be a really cozy getaway. Downstairs wasn’t very clean — we found dead bugs and leaves on the floor, and the comforters in both bedrooms didn’t appear freshly cleaned. Towels were left in the dryer, and it didn’t look like the area had been dusted in a while. A few maintenance issues to note: the hot tub is smaller, round, and has a leak; a mouse was seen in the garage game area; a chair was broken; and several outlets didn’t work, including the kitchen, which made the coffee pot tricky to use. The drive up is steep, narrow, and essentially one-way, which can be nerve-racking if another car comes, as there aren’t many turn-offs. Luckily, we didn’t encounter anyone. Large trucks would have a difficult time getting up the drive, as we had to make multiple 3 point turns to get up the drive. We were lucky not to spend much time at the house — if we had, it probably would have been worse than what we saw. Overall, a beautiful view and peaceful setting, but the home could use more upkeep and attention to detail.

The driveway is a bit steep, but the views are 1000% worth it! The absolute most beautiful views I’ve ever had in a cabin! Loved the property amenities and we kept busy playing the games. We didn’t use the hot tub because we forgot swimsuits, but it looked very clean, other than chlorine tablet chunks in the bottom but that’s to be expected. When we arrived, there was a beer can and trash on the ping pong table and we had trouble finding dry towels and any rags, but found them in the downstairs closet. Could use a good sweep and mop in the garage and the microwave box was outside even though that was repaired (based on previous reviews) months ago. Overall, great stay!
